So, I already have plenty on my plate right now as far as recipe development goes, but thought I would throw this out there in case somebody is looking for another flavor to develop. This hot punch is Mexico's answers to spiced cider or mulled wine. I've never had it before, but its something I've wanted to try for a while! Here is the ingredients list for the actual edible recipe- its made very much like spiced cider by slowly simmering the ingredients together and decanting.

1 cup dried hibiscus flowers (flor de Jamaica)
6 qts. (24 cups) water, divided
20 cloves
2 oranges
2 cups drained tejocotes
1 package (14 oz.) frozen GOYA® Whole Guava
6 sugar cane sticks
2 cones Piloncillo, or 2 cups dark brown sugar
1 medium apple, chopped (about 1¾ cups)
1 medium pear, chopped (about 1½ cups)
1 cup pitted prunes (about 6 oz.), chopped
1 cup walnut halves (about 4 oz.)
½ cup raisins
4 Cinnamon Sticks
Rum, brandy or tequila, to taste – optional

Instead of hibiscus flavor, you could substitue cranberry if you have a good one. FA Clove and/or Cinnamon if you have them. Maybe Capella Sweet Tangerine for the citrus? Tejocotes are basically a tart crab apple, not sure what I would do there, probably omit and just rely on your apple flavor of choice. TFA Guava for sure. TFA Brown Sugar Extra. FA Fuji apple and or FA Apple. ECX or VZ Pear....then you'll need some dried fruit flavor of some sort and a nut and a Rum or Brandy probably.

Just throwin this idea out there! :D
