INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone and welcome to Pizza Dave’s vape reviews. Today I will be going over everything you need to know about the Manto kit by Rincoe. As always, I keep my reviews unbiased, but this kit was sent to me by Rincoe for review. Rincoe is a newcomer to the vape world, but they are diving in head first and coming out with some great new products. This time around, they have a complete kit that comes with the Manto 228W regulated mod and the Metis sub-ohm tank that runs their own MESH coils. With a nice vibrant screen and several colors to choose from, this is a standout device, and especially being it is their first. As I always say, looks don’t dictate how something vapes, so let’s dive down in, see how it operates, and I will give my final thoughts down at the bottom.

FEATURES

The Manto is the first full sized, high powered mod to hit the market from Rincoe. This dual 18650 powered device boasts 228w of max power, temp control, plenty of color options, and a vibrant, colorful display. The display has 7 color options to choose from, Blue, Purple, Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green. With the amount of color options of the mod itself, coupled with the screen color options, they have covered everything needed for the matchy matchy crowd. Also included in the kit is a color matching sub-ohm tank, the Metis. This tank utilizes mesh or hive style coils, which is a great way to jump right into a market where mesh is becoming king!

OPERATION

The menu system and operation of the Manto is very simple. The fonts are big, bright, and beautiful on the display, and it is all laid out in a manner that becomes second nature instantly. 5 clicks to power up, and away we go!

- 3 clicks of the fire button will enter the menu system which then has:

- VW mode (power)

- TC mode (temp control)

- Settings

- The VW mode menu allows the user to select ramp times of soft, normal, hard, and MAX

- The TC mode menu allows the user to select Nickel, Titanium, Stainless Steel, or TCR. *****I did not use temp control on this device, so I have zero input on how well it functions.

- The settings menu is for adjusting screen brightness, timeout, display color, and a factory reset.

- All these menu functions are laid out clearly as shown in the following pics:

HOW IT VAPES

During my testing period I used this device strictly in wattage mode with the included atomizer. My overall experience with it has been excellent. The mod is easy to adjust and works well for beginners or experts. I love the shape and feel of this device in hand. It feels as if I am holding a “fatter” Vaporesso revenger. On a side note I used to own a revenger and felt it tipped over a lot, but the Manto is sturdy and doesn’t just fall over at will. The fire button is placed on the side and is right where I like it on mods of this style. All the buttons have a nice feel to them and I didn’t notice much if any rattle from this device. The only button con I might have is that the buttons on the front stick out a bit, and I had times where I bumped them on accident. This mod does as advertised and fires very very quick. Ramp time with the normal wattage setting is instant, especially with the included tank. Since this is the how it vapes section, I will do a mini review on the included Metis sub-ohm tank.

METIS REVIEW

This kit comes complete with the Metis sub-ohm tank. Rincoe didn’t take any shortcuts here, as they took their time and released this to the market with two different, yet similar Mesh style coils. I received the mesh and hive coils which comes in at .15 ohms and are made for a range of 60-100w. I found that both vape best in the 70-75w range and flavor is very comparable. The mesh one is my favorite by a hair, and it also seemed to wick a little quicker. ZERO dry hits chain vaping the mesh, and minimal dry hits on the hive. These coils are the baby beast form factor as well so there are a ton of coil options out there. The tank overall is beautiful and matches the mod perfectly. The top cap is completely removed for filling and threads on and off nicely. The air flow adjustment is very satisfying as the tolerances are right on the money and it has just the right amount of tension to stay in place, but still adjusts with ease. Now…the million-dollar question…. How does it vape Dave? Well…….. they nailed it! This tank has amazing flavor and the air flow is nice and smooth. It is right up there with many of the mesh coil atties on the market and coil life lasts to what seems like an eternity. I used the heck out of this setup and ran over 80mls of very sweet liquid through it and it still tastes the same as day one. The coil looks a little gunky, but it doesn’t taste any different at all. This tank really makes for a great setup right out of the box!

Tank Pros

- Incredible flavor

- Nice big fill ports

- Smooth air flow adjustment that isn’t seized up like I have seen on many lately

- Coil life is top notch

- Uses baby beast style coils

- Matches the mod perfectly

- Good liquid capacity

- Great included drip tips

Tank Cons

- Hive coils had occasional dry hits

- Very tight fitting and was tough to dismantle from factory

FINAL THOUGHTS

The Manto kit is one heck of a start for a new company. I can see this thing going toe to toe with many of the companies that produce similar items (Smok, Vaporesso, Joyetech, etc.). The mode feels like it is built with some pride and has a quality feeling in hand. The mod fires almost instantaneously, and while I didn’t test this at super high wattages but have a feeling it has no issues with upper level performance. The magnetic battery door is held solidly in place and batteries are easy to remove. It also has nice indications of battery polarity so there are no guessing games there. The buttons all feel nice and the finish is gorgeous, which brings me to my next con. This thing is an absolute fingerprint magnet. It is safe to say that it is the worst I have ever had my hands on. It looks smudgy all the time, and I wiped mine off non-stop. Yes, when it’s clean, it looks great, but then it gets marked up and looks a bit rough. The screen, however does not scratch, so whatever shiny material is on the front and back is very durable. The fingerprint thing is a super subjective con, and probably the only con that really jumped out at me.

Thank you everyone for reading my review and thank you to Rincoe for sending it my way for review. This is just about to hit the market and I am told that it will be available in about 2-3 weeks. I am told that the price point will be competitive with the likes of Smok and Vaporesso, so I am anticipating that this will be about $65-75? I will update with a price once released. For more information head on over to the Rincoe website!

REVIEW CRITERIA: I use each item for about two weeks to ensure I have collected enough data to adequately write a review. I use the same e liquid in tanks or rdas throughout all my reviews to ensure that I am comparing apples to apples between all modern equipment. I do not post reviews until I feel confident that I have used it enough to give an educated review. The reason I started doing reviews was due to poor purchasing decisions in my vaping infancy about two years ago. Back then, I purchased several different pieces of hardware without really enjoying it and I hope my reviews can guide people into spending their hard-earned money more wisely than I did! ****Keep in mind that some items I receive may be pre-release and not in retail packaging. Quality may be less than the finished product and what is in the package may differ from the retail package as well.
