Happy things.
Next month my monthly health/prescription insurance costs drop to around $250/mo from arund $750 now aqnd have better coverage.
What has happened to manhood in our country that we are expected to shave our chest, backs, and now our balls too? How did so many [supposed] "men" turn into the wussiest pussies?
Don't ask me, we males are mainly raised by women :giggle:
even moreso in recent generations...
hmmm

Mom and dad were divorced when I was 2. I had an older sister. I had half a dozen aunts, some of whom occasionally lived with us and most of them had 2 to 6 daughters. Needless to say, I grew up in a 100% matriarchal environment and at no time was any of this modern shit even suggested. I am one of those guys who has really long hair on my chest and back (and all other places) and NO ONE except TV and magazines has ever suggested I should change that. I also have long blond hair (OK, so it is mostly gray now) -- I have looked like a viking for over 20 years and not even the respectable conservatives here in South Dakota have ever suggested I cut my hair. Whose fucking pussy boyz are pushing these ads and products and why don't they all just damn well go live in San Francisco where they can happily kiss each others asses and leave the rest of us alone?

I blame it on capitalists trying to sell cosmetics and such to men?
After all it is now fashionable to pay to sweat in a gym and hire illegal immigrants and such to mow your lawn and do other such duties that you could sweat and keep in shape doing.
Prolly all boils down to the slime oozing from your TV set?

TRUE, I can't remember the last time I actually seen a homeowner cut his own grass or trim any vegetation, all hire mexicans. The homeowner has to get to the gym tho, prolly to try and fuck the neighbors wife, pretend he's "working out"

It's definitely crazy out there.

What do you expect when one of the leading macho men in the USA has infomercials running on exercise machines...
always with a babe on them to further interest men.

Sweat it and forget it?

Almost broke my neck today. Was on a roof which had several elevations, the wind was picking up like mad, looked like a dust storm on the horizon. Anyway, I was walking on top of a parapet wall above a lower roof, the wind took me off the roof like a leaf....I ended up landing on my shoulders, doing a backwards somersault, the only thing I hurt was my neck and ass, DAMN was I lucky.

Need to remember, I'm not 25 yrs old any longer. This was my second roof mishap this winter, almost landed on a driveway a couple weeks ago, due to black ice on the roof. Caught myself before I reached the edge of the roof on that one. Need to take another vacation - or a roof safety course...........

OK, so obviously I do not fawn over anyone (I have no heroes and am not a fan of any celebrities), so just who is this person we should all know as a "leading macho man"? Would that be Groucho Marx?
Carlos aka Chuck Norris.

I also have no heroes but I observe those who do.
I also have no favorites.
when asked my favorite color for instance I just hit a blank.
Same with musical groups, actors, brand of vehicle, etc.

I got a safety harness and big sturdy rope a while back for such things.
esp since I have a fear of heights.

Oh I fully agree but many do care...
That has always been a part of the human psyche that I have never understood. The checkout stands at the stupormarket have magazines full of articles about which Hariwood actor/actress are fucking, whose baby is it?, why so-and-so is getting a divorce, etc. Why do people buy that shit? Why do they care what those people are doing in their personal lives? Why this need to live vicariously through someone else? WAKE UP! Get a damn life of your own! Just because Joe Blo chose a career as an actor does not make him any better than the plumber and his point of view certainly is not more important or carries any more authority than yours.

It seems to me that most humans need to follow someone or something.
One reason why religions and such exist.
Being independent really scares them?
or they are kind of a pack mentality?

I never understood it personally but realize that it exists among most humans.

Funny you mention that....I was waiting in line at a Safeway store a couple weeks ago....the lady ahead of me was reading one of those rags while waiting her turn to give money for overpriced shit-ass GMO garbage.

I asked her, are those free, it looks really interesting? She says oh no-no, they cost yada yada...I forget what she said cuz I didn't care. Anyway, just goes to show how many jackasses we have living in our backyards, reading that horseshit.

A wise man once told me (talking in the mirror again), "If you will stop doing those things that cause you to get hurt, then you won't have all these aches and pains." Funny how that works. But, as they say, "It's easier said than done" and, the bottom line is that if we don't take a chance now and then, we ain't never gettin' anything done.

Just got rid of all the relatives, LONG day..
I love seeing my relatives.... for about 5 minutes, then I want them gone.

Speaking of long days, it finally stopped snowing early afternoon. We got about 8" new snow and 2-3' in new drifts. The sun came out at the end of the storm and the temperature hit 31 (still below freezing) and a lot of that shit on the roof started melting and we had to put out five buckets in the kitchen, one on the dungeon stairs, and three on the porch to catch the drips of leakage through the roof (one day I will Scrooge enough to get that fixed). One of those 5-gallon buckets is filling so fast, we have to take it outside and empty it about once every two hours. Shit!

New pains to add to the long list: coming back from morning chores, overcast and snowing, no contrast in the snow I'm walking in (bad eyesight too), can't see where I am walking, tripped on a drift and fell flat on my face. Get your ancient ass up, brush off the snow, don't even say "Ow" because Lannie is hurting too (she was right behind me), and just damn well get on with it. I really wish June would hurry up and get here. :grumpy:

American Health Packaging Issues Voluntary Nationwide Recall of Valsartan Tablets Due to the Detection of NDEA (N-Nitrosodiethylamine) Impurity

American Health Packaging is voluntarily recalling one lot of Valsartan Tablets, USP, 160 mg to the consumer level due to the detection of trace amounts of an unexpected impurity found in the finished drug product. The impurity detected in the finished drug product is N-Nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA), which is a substance that occurs naturally in certain foods, drinking water, air pollution, and industrial processes, and has been classified as a probable human carcinogen as per International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classification. This recall is being initiated in response to the recall by the manufacturer (Aurobindo Pharma USA, Inc.), which included the affected lot that was repackaged by American Health Packaging.

Don't bother changing the clocks.....I haven't in about 35 years, there has been no appreciable difference.

It was a really stupid idea tho.......

Damn, I was stunned the tablets and/or packaging was not manufactured in china india or bangladesh..........

It's really sad so many people don't understand they can eat themselves back to normal health.....truly a pity.
