I've blocked 9 new Spanish channels last week. The fucks just added another 7 I had to block. No sense seeing that shit on the guide when checking to see what's on.

When I had DTV I had more channels blocked than open.
Foreign, religious, sports, shopping, etc...

do not miss DTV at all.
We have Dish. I blocked most of the sports. All of the shopping and porn channels are blocked, as well as the PPV channels. I'm gonna call em if they jack up my bill for the no habla channels.

I like 'em too, but I don't think we did the tiny stuff this year.

Yes, we did. :) Those small sweets that I saved the seed from. There's three pots full of those, I think.

I tossed some butterscotch caramel capsv1, and vanilla bean ice cream together.....damn that is good.

See? Toldja! :D (I mean, that butterscotch and caramel would probably be good together...)

Hey, Dale, I am, at this very moment. tootle puffing some of that "Son of a Biscuit" (I sent you that recipe) that Lannie and Rixy made for Mod Wompers and Cloud Chuckers and sumbits, this shit is good even at 5W!

As much as I would like to, I can't claim a shred of credit for that recipe. That was all Rixy's. I just mixed up the bottle of joose. :p

The only problem is that she doesn't like the type of juice that I use which is pinacolada I have found some at a place called Mad Vapes in Abilene
I have some bad news for you, Phil. The juice makers at Mad Vapes don't like Pina Colada either, but that doesn't mean they don't know how to make it. Let Sarah try.

The Mad Vapes he is speaking of is not associated with the Mad Vapes website. However, you could be right. Not everybody likes the same thing. A company that mixes juice in the store is doing it for profit, not because they enjoy the flavor.
I already told Phillip I can mix some for him, have him try it, and if the flavor ain't strong enough, I can add a drop or two of concentrate. It's not rocket science.

I feel like I kicked my ass today. I did the rewiring I needed to in the bathroom, then put up boards on that wall until the temp hit 98°. After it cooled back down to 97°, I stained 11 more boards, watered all the plants, watered the outside dogs, and took a shower to get all the sticky sweat off me.
By the way, Phillip enjoyed the stuffed bell peppers I made for dinner.

Evening phartz....was a long day at death valley.....!

One HOT SOB, rained last night again, you could see the water boiling on the asphalt this morning...

Inspected a 58,000 sf building, thought I'd die before getting out of there at about noon....

I don't ever remember getting this much rain, so many days in a row. The temperature was below 100, but it felt like 150F
Duh weather guessers said the humidity was about 50%, I doubt that claim.:gaah:...:cuss2::gaah:

Only 87 °F here at 65% RH ("feels like" about 95 °F). The old bod hurt too much (back, knee, shoulder) to fix the tool crib (again), but I managed to bounce around the horse pasture on the TroyBilt for a couple hours. I wish I had something that would cut higher than 5" because all I want to do is knock off the seed heads, but it is supposed to thunderstorm on us again tomorrow, so the cut grass will come back quick (I hope).

We got to 102°. It's currently 84°. It's supposed to get hotter by the day with the high pressure ridge that moved over the state.

I had cheese stuffed Hatch Chili Peppers at a mexican joint today, delish, but not something I'd eat on a regular basis....don't eat cheese any longer, but once in a (great) while ya gotta splurge, it sure tasted damn good.

I sprinkled grated cheese over the stuffed bell peppers, and put em in the microwave to melt it. Cheese makes alot of stuff better. But then, I was born a cheesehead.

While I am sure most people hope to leave in their sleep, I am relatively certain that when it is my time to depart, I will die on the job.

@Lannie ...pls ask Rich to take it easy for awhile, before he's pushing daisies.....:(

No worries. :) Hey, at least he drinks some WATER now. He still doesn't drink *enough* water (in my opinion), but he's drinking some. He says he doesn't need any more than what he drinks, but then again, he's not peeing every five minutes like I do, so maybe he's on to something. :teehee:

Because you folks need a laugh:

THE WAR OF 1812 AT WALMART

Yesterday, I wore my Vietnam Veteran cap to Wal-Mart. There was nothing in particular that I needed at the world's largest retailer; but, since I retired, trips to "Wally World" to look at the Walmartians is always good for some comic relief.

Besides, I always feel pretty normal after seeing some of the people that frequent the establishment.
But, I digress, . . Enough of my psychological fixations.

While standing in line to check out, the guy in front of me, probably in his early thirties, asked, "Are you a Viet Nam Vet?”

"No," I replied.

"Then why are you wearing that cap?”

"Because I couldn't find the one from the War of 1812 . . .” I thought it was a snappy retort.

"The War of 1812, huh?" the Walmartian queried, "When was that?”

God forgive me, but I couldn't pass up such an opportunity . . "1946", I answered, as straight-faced as possible.

He pondered my response for a moment and responded, "Why do they call it the War of 1812 if it was in 1946?”

"It was a Black Op Mission. No one is supposed to know about it.” This was beginning to become fun!

"Dude! Really?" He exclaimed. "How did you get to do something that COOOOL?”

I glanced furtively around me for effect, leaned toward the guy and in a low voice said, "I'm not sure. I was the only Caucasian on the mission.”

"Dude," he was really getting excited about what he was hearing, "that is seriously awesome! But, didn't you kind of stand out?”

"Not really. The other guys were wearing white camouflage.”

The moron nodded knowingly.

"Listen man," I said in a very serious tone, "You can't tell anyone about this. It's still classified 'Top Secret' and I shouldn't have said anything.”

"Oh yeah?" he gave me the 'don't threaten me look . . "Like, what's gonna’ happen if I do?”

With a really hard look I said, "You have a family don't you? We wouldn't want anything to happen to them, would we?”

The guy gulped, left his basket where it was and fled through the door. The lady behind me started laughing so hard I thought she was about to have a heart attack. I just grinned at her. After checking out and going to the parking lot, I saw dimwit leaning in a car window talking to a young woman.

Upon catching sight of me, he started pointing excitedly in my direction.

Giving him another 'deadly' serious look, I made the 'I see you' gesture. He turned kind of pale, jumped in the car and sped out of the parking lot.

And these people VOTE!

What a great time! Tomorrow I'm going back, wearing my Homeland Security cap.

Then the next day I will go to the driver's license bureau wearing my Border Patrol hat, and see how long it takes to empty the place.

Whoever said retirement is boring? You just need to wear the right kind of cap!

See you guys at Walmart!
