Hey guys brad the vape junkie here wondering if my math was correct.
If I have 4x Clapton coils with each coil is .65Ω
In a quad coil build that would come out to about .16Ω right?

Depends on the deck type and how you will be mounting the coils

If you mount in series it doubles resistence
If you move by in parallel you half resistence

You could well end up with 0.325 or 0.163

Hook it up check it on the ohm reader

Don't know about what kind if deck it is looks like a 6 hole velocity deck. It's a vapebreed v2.
Wanting to use coils from coilcartel and those are
26g Clapton Coil

5 wraps - 26g ka1/32g ka1

2.5mm ID

Single coil is @ .65 Ω

Dual coil is @ .32 Ω

Can't with the Ω reader don't actually have the coils yet. I wanted to know more about the math lol.

That's a 2 post deck so you'll get a quarter the resistence out of each coil if you mount them like the pic

That's like .16Ω per coil or for the whole build?
To clarify if I put four coils on there like the pic. Then put the deck on the Ω reader, the reader should say something along the lines of .16Ω?

I would say yes the whole build should come out at 0.16 assuming each coil is exactly equal at 0.64 and you mount them like the pic

If you don't want to waste decent claptons testing this just make some simple wraps and try it out first ;)

Having said all of this your gonna need a shit load of wattage to heat these up so you might want to target a slightly higher ohm resistence on each coil so your battery isn't under as much strain ...assuming here you know all of this bit though

Definitely will try for a higher Ω count. If not the mod I'll be running this build on is the smok Gx350 so I think that wattage isn't a problem lmao:shades::cloud:

Just one quick math check. if all 4 were in series it would be a 2.6 ohm coil (4 times the resistance) if it was 2 pairs in parallel in a series deck it would be .65. in a parallel deck (like most decks are) the .16 would be correct :)

What I said mate a couple of posts after that one?
