Received this and wondering if this is truly the reason there have been problems with efest batteries. I personally only had one bad experience but I keep hearing bad things about them all the time.

To all dear Efest Customers:
Good day! Many clients hope us to clarify the whole things about Efest batteries ( Dangerous? rewraped? overvalued? ). We should have not responsed all questions to get in troubles, but we hope everyone knows the trueth.
Efest is the first company in China to make high drain cells for vaping market. Safty always comes first. Each Efest cell has three protection. NEVER we sell any fake cells.
Now many Chinese companies are copying our cells, such as EH, Efan, Newise,MX...They just copy our design even have no idea of IMR high drain cell, regardless of quality or safety. We cost half a year to study batteries, but they just cost a few days to copy. When our red and purple batteries release , they followed to make same color and amps batteries. Regretfully, no customers blame them. Some even know they are rewrapping. We sincerely hope all customers be kind to Efest. We move first steps like: state clear discharging amps on batteries, make nice middle box.

Dangerous ? Never
We tested Efest IMR 18650 2500mAh discharge current 35A and 18650 3100mAh 20A, so we mark " discharging current" out clearly. After test it is safe to use on ecig mods, flashlights, etc., we put them into market. Many good feedbacks that they are perfect for sub-ohm devices. Efest purple batteries launched on Dec. 2013. ZERO bad feedbacks on purple 18650 Efest present.

Overvalued ? Never
Considering dear customers' kind feedbacks, we start to describe both continuous and pulse discharging current on new purple Efest IMR 26650 batteries.
Efest never high value every cell, we all put lower capacity and current than our testing result : http://ukvapers.org/Thread-New-Efest-26650-batteries
Rewrapped? 3900pcsAs stated in May, we did rewrap 3900pcs VTC4 batteries due to raw material shortage. Our factory used some Sony vtc4 to replace 18650 2100mah IMR Efest batteries to handle customers' orders.
All Efest purple and red series IMR batteries are manufactured and sell only by Efest. We provide 6 months warranty for batteries. If there is any problem with batteries quality, we will send new replacements. If batteries date needed, we will send to you. Please feel free to contact our sales representatives.

Trust us, Efest only brings you Safty, Reliability, Profit. Thanks for your support.

I've been using Efest batts in both my mech mods for 6mos now without any issues..I really like the purple 26650 rated at 32A cont/64A pulse with 3500 mAh..specs must be close for they power my .15 ohm builds that pull 28A (at 4.2v) all day on a single charge..

So Efest says they are a battery manufacturer? Shame they don't provide continuous and pulse ratings on ALL their battery labels.

It is also kind of funny to hear a Chinese company sort of complain that their products have been cloned by other Chinese companies.
