Nitecore i2 Overcharging to 4.35v?

I recently purchased a nitecore i2. I am using samsung r25's.

The nitecore charges them fine, but it does not stop charging at 4.2v and continues to try and charge them to 4.35v.

I have manually set the charge setting to 4.2v but the 4.35v light continues to blink and I have to manually remove the batteries to prevent them overcharging.

Is this to be expected and functioning as normal or can these batteries peak to 4.35v ?

Thanks

Sounds defective to me.
I wouldn't risk MY batteries in it.

The fact that MANY results show up mean many people have had the same issue.
Using over charged batteries is not safe.

I would send it back for replacement or warranty repair if it's just recently bought. I wouldn't want to have to babysit a charger to keep it from overcharging my batteries, but that's just me.
