nichrome 80 in temp control

has anyone used nichrome in temp mode? i am thinking that if NI 80 is 80% nickel and people are already using kanthal and nickel in parallel then using NI 80 should work just fine, and i would not need to buy new wire..any ideas or thought??

Wont work. Although a DNA40 once read my 0.4 ohm N80 build at 0.05 and tried really really hard to temp control that baby, but it ended up losing its marbles for a while.

people wrap nickel with kanthal to make it easier to work with. electricity is like water follows the path of least resistance thus the kanthal doesn't affect the ohm's but it does help store heat when the nickel is heated.
