One thing you don't want to skimp out on is batteries. Those batteries from Ebay are probably very low quality (and that would explain why they cost so little.) I recommend staying away from even used batteries. Buy brand new ones. That way you can buy 2 of the same batteries and know both cells are perfectly balanced. Used batteries tend to be used in different devices and under different loads and therefore may not be perfectly balanced.

That said, you'll probably want to stay away from Ebay altogether as far as batteries are concerned, just to be safe.
