New coil throat issues (sub ohm)

Everytime I replace a coil I end up with a scratchy throat and cough for a few days or so. Then after that it's smooth vaping. I use high vg liquid at 3mg in an Aspire Triton mini. It does not seem like a dry hit cause the flavor is always on point. It doesn't even seem like a hard throat hit either. It feels more like a "tickle" almost like allergies I guess. Hmmmmm......

Turn the wattage down for first dozen hits or so... to break in the wick and coil....

Dry hits as hondadavison advises ..had the same when I first started many years ago
