I believe so. A youtube review would probably show the included coil. Didn't think of that.

    I just looked,
and for the OP, Busardo shows an included coil along with dry firing it. As long as the legs look, looks like he took a wrap off, and because he said it's .5Ω, and adding a wrap may make it too long. Probably best to try it straight out of the box.

    About batterries...

    I have efest's pro c2 charger (here: https://www.myvaporstore.com/Efest-PRO-C2-Charger-p/eft30.htm )

I have 6 of the 18650 batteries. 2 came with the charger (3000mAh), but they don't look like the ones in the photo/link above. I think I bought it from eBay. But it's been a couple years without problems...... 3 batteries came with the aspire plato (2500mAh). 1 is HΩ Life (3077mAh).

The above link does not list a 21700 as compatible. I checked 4-5 listings with no change until I came across this next one. It gives a range which includes a 21700. ( https://vaping.com/efest-pro-c2-charger )

Regulated mods have built in safety features that you're probably aware of. Low battery cut off is one, where if the battery isn't sufficient for the watts [amps come into play] it's set at, then the mod won't fire. It's best to use the best premium batteries, of sufficient amps for how it will be used.
And altho we can get you going with the best 21700 for Jackaroo, efest has made different purple 18650's over the years, and assuming the efest has a very low 10Amps, your still ok at your low wattage. The HΩ Life may be the best 18650 of the bunch that you have.
You linked imr and that's a good choice as well as Liion Wholesale and IIlumn.
So we pick batteries by brand > amps > Mah.

There's only 3-4 manufacturer's of the batteries we use. Those manufacturer's use the cream of the lion crop they produce, for their own battery label,, and sell some and lessor grade to other's that only put their brand wrapper on it. With these re-wrapped batteries, those companies can change the actual battery at any time. With brand name you get the quality and tested spec consistency.
    Samsung
    Molicel
    Sony
    LG
    are what to look for.

For 21700, Samsung 40T would be the way to go. Way more amps than needed but we're looking at 4k Mah and if you go to higher wattages down the road then you have the amps.
If you want to pick up a couple fresh 18650's - Samsung 30Q would be ideal for your Plato or any other mod at your wattages.[up to 45-50w per 30Q]
Battery Mooch is vaping's battery expert. Testing, trusted vendors for authentic, recommends, and a lot more. If you want to bookmark him you can find him on FB and
Moochs Video Library and Battery Table Links

Let me know if your charger winds up not fitting 21700, I have one I'll give you.

    Well everything has been ordered:

    1 blue python Jackaroo
    1 black Berserker v1.5
    1 full black HellBeast
1 replacement bulb glass for HellBeast
    2 Samsung 40T 21700 batteries
Koh Gen Do Rectangle Organic Cotton Wick... (6-Pack)
Nautilus coil 5-pack (at about half my local shop price)
    1 Tool Kit

I spent way more than I intended but I think I made pretty sensible decisions. If I just bought a cheap cigalike that was completely unsatisfying, I’d waste money and risk resorting to smoking again. Maybe cigalikes/pen vapes are better than when I tried them, but I had little luck. I thought a backup atty was pretty necessary too, considering I might hit a hiccup with my first build.

For better or worse, this is looking more like a hobby for me than I’ve ever thought it would. But just like my dog, art, and SO, vaping is part of keeping life great.

    Thanks for all the help!

Not quite yet. I ordered from 4 different sites sent as 5 packages. I received 3 packages. I just saw 1 is close, but the tracking program kinda sucks. The close package went from pre-shipment to arrived in Chicago (from China I think) in one day.

    I did see that :)

When I started a year and a half ago, I thought I was just getting a kit to keep me from using my niece's all the time, who wasn't any help either. Always handing it to me. I really liked it.

I didn't even know there was a hobbyist community. Honestly, I like playing with all this crap at least as much as I actually like vaping itself.

Hey so I need some reassurance vaporl.com is legit. I order the Jackaroo from there on May 4 or 5. We exchanged emails about an issue and I received excellent customer service. I was told via email it would ship May 13. The tracking program is a little hard to understand (using different phrases than I'm used to despite being translated to English). Also, some of the steps seem out of order ("leaving the originating country" then "arrived at transit airport"). Which could be absolutely nothing, I know, but I'm just worried at this point. Between the 24th-25th the item left the Netherlands, but it has never appeared on USPS tracking. I'm worried and my patience is running out.

On another note, I half built the Berserker v1.5. I'm going to try to upload a photo of it. I had trouble with trying to add the cotton. Any good videos about wicking specifically? And I noticed people firing up their coils before wicking to clean off hot spots. Should this be done with every coil change?

Dry firing is a must to get hot spots out. It makes sure that there are no spots to scorch your cotton as you vape. I've ordered from vaporrl once and it went fine. China shipping is half assed most times and thats what we go through for cheaper prices from china unfortunately. As far as wicking the berserker I'd check YouTube. There's bound to be some videos on that one.

Your coil looks fine. What trouble are you having with the cotton?

Those hot spots are because electrons aren't moving smoothly through the wire. So working those out before wicking is important.
Once the coil is used , then you'd again be making sure to eliminate hot spots at the same time as cleaning it.

There's some wicking at about 15:30 in that vid ^^ up there.

Just don’t know how much to use. Like how much to pull through the coil, how tight the fit should be. Should the cotton move easily within the coil? I couldn’t get the cotton through on my first attempt and when I did (using half of the cotton from my first attempt), it was a very very tight fit. I think I used too much. Regardless, I took a break because my hands ached. It’s tolerable and I expect with more experience I will build quicker, allowing less time for achy-ness to increase.

Your cotton should give resistance, but not have to be "muscled" through the coil. (Kinda hard to explain ) How to work the tails will vary from device to device.

The suggested youtube videos will be very helpful. This guy is usually pretty helpful too.

That's probably the best way to describe it, when the cotton moves through the coil you should feel resistance, but not so much that it pulls your coil out of shape. Tails should be cut to just touch the bottom of the deck, inside those holes where you tuck the wicks down on either side of the coil.

When I pull cotton apart for a wick, the loose strand of cotton is roughly twice the width of the coil. I take that length of cotton and roll it between my fingers to make a more compacted wick, but put the most pressure on the end I need to thread through the coil. You want to compress that end to a point. I often use pointed end tweezers to grab the cotton up inside the coil and pull it the rest of the way through.

    Hope this helps.

Right. After a few times you'll know how much length and width to start with.
I start with a length plenty long enough to roll one end to a compressed point so I have enough to go all the way though the coil and still have enough to grab, without forcing it too tightly inside the coil. If it is too tight you can twist the open end [to make it smaller around] as you pull it through. Once in there, if it's tight move the wick back and forth to loosen it in the coil until it's snug bit not tight. I think for this one if the coil slightly moves when moving the wick back&forth, you're good.

*puts up a @Vape Fan mirror as he agrees in most part with what they've written so far* I like using ceramic tipped tweezers to help pull cotton through a coil. Also, like to use Muji organic cotton. It's all subjective though. There's no best except what you make/choose best for yourself, so don't ask that. You might ask "hey what do you like and why", that might help you narrow a search.

We'll all tell you something different from one another. And some days like I do at times, I'll tell you on Tuesday that cotton is my favorite wick, then by Thursday I'll tell you I like rayon the best. It continually changes for applications, for differing factors. Rayon might work better for me at higher or lower altitudes, or it might be from the barometric pressure this week. Yep, you betcha it's a factor, even that wild bit of hair up your ... is a factor too. So don't ever think you're full on totally squared. The second you do something will find a way to flip it all upside down.

Here's a secret though. It'll drive you mad but that's the joy of it. :) Don't suffer from insanity, enjoy it. Then, you can beat it or wind up realizing the world itself is insane and so requires the insanity to enjoy. Can vaping save lives? Yes it can. It can also make folks wonder, ... what is for lunch next Tuesday? *grins*

After reading these last few replies I think I’ll be fine wicking. The descriptions made a lot of sense.

Great news everyone! I’m sure my Jackaroo will be delivered tomorrow. I see it’s on it’s way to my local post office. Yay
    :bliss:
(And what did we do before tracking?)

I also bought some new juice that will likely arrive Monday. In order to get the sale prices and flavors I wanted, I ordered different mixes and nicotine levels. I ordered Beast Treats and Root Beer from Mt. Baker Vapor.

    Beast Treats:
    12 mg/ml 70PG/30VG 30ml (x1)
    0 mg/ml 50PG/50VG 30ml (x2)

    Root Beer:
    6 mg/ml 70PG/30VG 30ml (x1)
    0 mg/ml 50PG/50VG 30ml (x1)

I plan to mix them to get 3-4 mg/ml. I’ve never tried anything but 50/50 but decided that I’d rather increase the throat hit over increasing cloud sizes. Might end up making zero difference too. I haven’t fully figured out where I will mix them (maybe a Pyrex storage container or other glass) or how I will do the rest, but I have an eye dropper somewhere and will check my local vape shop for something to refill on the go.

Anyway, I guess I don’t really have a question but wanted to share! I’ve been using cinnamon juice for years. I read “Oranges, strawberreies, grapes, lemons and limes, Beast Treats Vape Juice is a citrusy-blast...” and I just had to get it.

I’ve decided to wait for the Beast Treats before completing the Berserker build. That will be Monday. For now I have the HellBeast on my new Jackaroo. The mod is more awesome than I expected. I love the feel of it. The soft rubber is nice and, in terms of touch, it blends well with the other materials and textures. It’s heavier than expected or desired but I’ll get used to it.

I’m anxious to see the matte black Berserker on it, but I won’t tempt myself to waste juice and cotton on my cinnamon. 14A37BDD-2373-41CE-B0DC-3D51D5E1739B.jpeg

So my juice arrived Saturday. I built the Berserker and found I don’t like Beast Treats juice and the atty has too tight a draw. Maybe the reason I was uncertain of my answer to “do you vape like smoking a cig” is because the answer is yes and no. I like a lot of airflow but when it comes to the inhale process it’s all MTL. I can’t even imagine what DTL would be like. I’m a lil bummed especially because the matte black looks awesome on the Jackaroo and I was expecting to have 2 attys for my mod for two flavors. Idk what my next steps will be.

If you made the coil 3mm id, you could possibly make it 2 or 2.5
Smaller diameter coil could increase air flow.
    Maybe a larger bore tip.

    That setup does look nice

Looks like I can try 2. Should I still do 6 wraps? I’ll look for a different drip tip at my local vape shop. Already heading in for a (hopefully 60+ ml) bottle to combine the root beer juice (2x30ml). At least I know I like root beer, not that it’s guaranteed I’ll like it as vape juice.

You can use that coil. Just slide it down and pull it tight around the 2mm spot. Careful not to pull the 38g wrap off. Then use the legs to add wrap(s) to change resistance if needed.

    Here’s https://www.steam-engine.org/wirewiz.html
To determine resistance for that Clapton wire [for the most part, if there’s 1 or more cores with another wire wrapped around, it’s a Clapton].
For the wire in your pick,
    Got to:
    Coil Builder - select Clapton
Under Core – select parallel because you have more than 1 core wire. Then select N80 and 30g in the menu for each of the 2 core wires.
At the bottom in the Wrap section – select N80 and 38g.
Then go to top left of page under Coil setup.
    ID – self explanatory
Wraps – [hover mouse over it to see if it’s full wrap or ½ wrap. Legs in opposite direction = full wrap/even number] Use an even number of wraps that equate to the resistance you want. Resistance is in blue section. You can leave leg length and wrap spacing where they are since it won’t matter enough. Make sure it will fit the atty when deciding how many wraps.

How is it wicking? Feel like your getting all the flavor without dry or anemic hits from having too much cotton?

EDIT: I think you could probably fit up to 8 wraps of that wire. 2mm id w/7 wraps will give you the same 0.7ishΩ as the 2.5mm W/6 wraps.

Trial and error to find what juice you really like and want to buy more of. Maybe stick with smallest quantities till you figure it out.
All I can say about flavors is my own exp with them. Started thinking I needed tobacco flavor to quit smoking. Bought fruity instead and liked it/never bought tobacco flavor. Stayed with fruits for quite a while then went to deserts. Now the fruits I vape are in a some sort of deserts, cookie, cake,,, Blueberry muffin, Strawberry cake...and some others are custards, vanillas, a couple have some coffee,,,

Thanks for the info above. ‘Tis appreciated. I will try again in a few days when I have time.

I think the build is right including enough saturation. Initially I thought I burnt the wick somehow. I tested it by sampling the flavor in my old device. I didn’t change the coil and it had a very small amount of cinnamon left in its tank but it soon tasted just like the Beast Treats in the Berserker.

I’m picky about juice. I don’t like many fruits unless mixed. Like a cherry berry. Berries are okay if there are cherries. I worry if I get a dessert flavor I will be craving the actual dessert. But I have a list of flavors I will sample at my local shop. Maybe Mountains of Dew, although idk how I’d like to be reminded what I’m drinking is the diet version.

But I’ll figure it out. For now, I have my cinnamon filled HellBeast atop a drop-proof Jackaroo. So I’m good. Love the slide to fill feature.

Ah Ha! And, D'oh why did I not see/realize this. *smh*

Muhahaha!!! 30*2 wrapped 3236*1 round 3 mm ID at around .45 all NiChrome A. "Here hold my beer and watch this!"

Ha! Figures, flubbed it twice. Not a problem, didn't want to do it anyway. Will go at it later on.

I kept getting it to go all wonky resizing the ID for me as I was putting it into the deck. No I'm not drinking a thing. I'm tired. It is near rack time.

    Ooops, yanked too much there.

Ha. Let me roll it 28*2 - 30*1 all Nichrome A, tapping at .33 to .36 Ω. There's a reason I don't use tiny wire. *chuckles* My Phat Phingers Phumble it all up. :)
