Need some advice:First Coil build

Hey guys, I just picked up my first mechanical earlier. It is a Smok Smooth, atty is a Patriot V1.2. Battery MNKE IMR-18650.

I am looking on Steam Engine to do a Dual coil build. I have Kanthal A1 27 awg wire on hand.

Do I divide the number of wraps by 2?
Also, what is the preferred starter coil dia?

5/64 and 3/32 are the standard coil sizes basically, choose your preference

say you wrap a single coil at 2 ohms, if you wrap another coil the exact same for a dual coil it will be 1 ohm (two 2 ohm coils make 1 ohm running dual coil). i think thats what you are asking. for dual coils they should always be identical in size and number of wraps

Thank ya. Yea, It had a crappy coil and wick setup when I first got it today.

Wife has a headache so I am going to my secret man cave / evil lair to play with it.

I did a single coil build. 1.2 ohms. It heats up perfectly!
