Well been playing around with coil builds all week. Most are failures. But I do learn.
So for the fun of it I wanted to see if I could build a 30 ga 8 wrap chimney for a pro tank 2.
I know what am I smoking.
Amaze it can handle everything I throw at it from an istick 50.

I'm intrigued. I can't really tell what I'm looking at with that build. Could you explain what you've done, please?

Basicly built a vertical coil in a protank 2 base. This thing hits threw all I gave it.

How is the wicking accomplished? Did you just rebuild it inside of a Kanger atomizer? Have to admit, Ive only ever used the Aerotank and the Atlantis as far as tanks go, so I'm not familiar with the specific design of the pro. Oh, and a Kraken clone. For about a day. Pure garbage.

Side wick the protank is small built outside than placed into place. Than carefully add cotton along the sides.

Coil stand up in the unit. So it is inline with the chimney. Most coils you see are horizontal. With a chimney style the air flows threw the center of the coil. Keeping it cooler by allowing more air flow.

That looks great. I've only had success with horizontal rebuilds. I'll have to try that one. How many attempts did it take? How much cotton?

That's a whole lot o work. It is an art. Not to many people want to have that as an option. I love building coils.

Not to much wick at all I like it to be loose. As for the vapor running the out side the artic is built like this but the wicking is packed tight.
As luck would have it I did that one in one try. Other times it can be a fight.
