I have half a jar of Marmite in the cupboard and I'm seriously thinking of trying an extract. Don't dare me.
Kingworm- I got hooked on the stuff back East at a party I attended. They had a Marmite and Brie appetizer that bowled me over. I love the stuff with peanut butter too!
and they give us shit for canned cheese
I have friends in England who put it on toast! They've told me you either love it or hate it, no in between.

I served an Aussie in a restaurant last summer who'd brought some in with her and let me try it. Not a fan, it made me think of what Worcester would taste like as a paste.....awful!I've "graduated" to the Marmite XO version. It's got a mellower, less "biting" taste than the original version. And yes Teresa P- there is no middle ground with the stuff- you either think it's the most disgusting thing ever, or you think about ways of incorporating it into everything.
bacon in fish oil sounds delicious. but then, doesn't anything that includes bacon.
we don't eat marmite, we eat vegemite. it's delicious.I served an Aussie in a restaurant last summer who'd brought some in with her and let me try it. Not a fan, it made me think of what Worcester would taste like as a paste.....awful!
