It's not that bad once you figure it out
Take the atty off before changing the battery, it makes all the difference in the world.
With the atty off take the divider that goes between the battery and the bottle and kind of twist it out following the curve of the battery, it slides right out and then with the atty off the battery is simple to change.'
I just make it a habit of replacing the battery every time I fill the bottle.
I love this device!
