Julian Ovenden's portrayal of William De Nogaret on History’s Knightfall is dynamic. After the shocking events of “The Pilgrimage of Chains,” De Nogaret is on the run with his uncle. Without the protection of King Philip and his family, how will the ambitious former advisor survive?
“Well, I don’t want to give too much away, but he’s a capable man,” Ovenden said. “I think he’s the sort of person who likes a problem. I don’t think he considers anything impossible.”
Other successful television series, like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, have villains that are complex and it can be difficult at times to classify them as villains. De Nogaret definitely fits that mold and Ovenden enjoys playing that kind of character.
