My KayFun lite is my pocket device all day on a kbox a really tough, small, cheep set up. Any way I use the boring but reliable 28 AWG kanthal, 6 wraps around a 3mm rod. not to much Japanese cotton touching the bottom of the deck and 15 to 20 watts. Nothing fancy real easy.

I haven't used a kf2lite in a good while now. But, when I was I got best flavor results from a chimney build with a 2 mm bit using 28g Kanthal , about 8 wraps

30 gauge , 2mm bit , 7 wraps = 1.6ohms every time for me . I have been using cotton bacon for wick lately which I find also helps with flavour a bit.

Juice ratio makes the biggest difference, thicker eliquid will allow for a lower ohm build

Is that 15 watts regulated or unregulated?

I'm really liking the coils I have right now. Nano tank on Pico. New mod so this is only the third coil I have built for it. This is second at same ohm, other was 2.5id. Went bigger to improve wicking.
1. Nichrome 32x4 twisted to 1mm pitch
2. 6 (.6ohm)
3. 3mm
4. Cotton Ball
5. bouncing between 13-15, higher is too warm for me.... might be more flavor there, if there was more airflow and maybe a full size chimney/tank.

My 3.1 has a 1.3ohm coil don't remember build. But it is making my wifes juice vapable, at around 13 watts. Must have wicked it with silica.... Didn't get burned cotton taste when I hit it at 40watts. Just dry burned coil taste. Have to try some of my juice in it.

On my Mech, dual air fastfech clone base, have a .9ohm coil, 2x31 Kanthal on 2.5mm, cotton ball.

I only use 28 and smaller wire and prefer twisted wire builds. Until 3 weeks ago only had Mechanical mods. Generally run my Kayfuns at .9ohm to 1.4ohm, with a heat flux average around 150, between 5 and 7 wrap coils on 2.5id. Mostly use cotton balls but also run silica. Silica give better flavor, YRMV, but can be harder to get setup. Unless you wrap on wick. Good thing is, it lasts the life of the coil. No rewicking, just dryburn and vape-on.

Been vaping the pico lately.... with 28 SS.. 2x28 twist at .5 mm pitch at .34 5 wraps on 2mm cotton ball wick TC at 19.8 watts and 410 deg. Great flavor from 70% diluted juice. Still not as good as the flavor from my Chalice 3 on the cReo 1.05ohm I don't recall build but probably twisted 32 either Kan or Nich. Only had the pico a month..... but I think the KFL might have been meant for SS builds... too bad they are going out of style.
