Joyetech Egrip Maintenance

Hi All,

As some of you may have read, I jumped at the Egrip from Joyetech. Admittedly, the form factor was too much for me to resist! However, there were a couple of things that concerned me right from the start:

1. Buying replacement coils, as they are not cheap
2. How am I going to clean the tank

Here are a couple of things that are working for me which I wanted to pass along to other Egrip owners:

1. To clean the coils, remove it from the unit and rinse under hot water for a couple of minutes. Then, let it soak for 10 minutes in a vinegar/baking soda solution. When done, rinse thoroughly under hot water and let dry.

2. To clean the tank, drain all existing liquid. Let the unit sit on its end on a napkin for several minutes and let all the remaining liquid drain onto the napkin. Wipe the inner threads down. Then, flush the tank (fill up and drain) with unflavored pg/vg. Empty and let the unit drain on its end.

So far, I am on my first coil and it is still working as new. I am not experiencing any residual flavor from prior juices either from the tank or the coil itself.

I hope this helps!
