This new coil looks very interesting and the new Wismec Theorem RTA that was designed as the launch partner to the notch coil looks amazing. JayBo is pushing the boundaries again with these offerings as well as the new Indie Duo RBA. Everything this guy does seems to give u a glimpse of the future.

I think Joyetech actually designed the coil. He says he seen it while at their company and got some samples from them around the 10:00 mark in this video. It does look very interesting, though. I might have to pick one of these up. I think they are on preorder at several places for pretty cheap.

I think I got the idea that he designed the Theorem especially with the notch coil in mind from vaping360. Don't remember exactly though. If I remember right the Theorem is supposed to include a couple Notch Coils. Either way, both the Theorem and the Notch Coil look extremely interesting. I prefer building my own coils but I think I am gonna give those Notch Coils a try. I definitely want to try the Theorem and if it includes a couple Notch Coils for me to try, all the better. I got quite a few new tanks I'm looking forward to. Aromamizer Supreme, GeekVape Griffin 25 and now the Wismec Theorem. Too much cool looking stuff coming out. Also probably gonna grab an Indie Duo. The coil possibilities look endless on that atty.

It is in fact suppose to come with the notch coils. Its the only way I can seem to find to get the notch coils atm is by buying the theoren. I have one on preorder hoping to get it shipped soon.

Raymo2u - Clapton the Notch Coil. Awesome. Let's take 2 Notch Coils. Cut the leads of one of them then make a fused Clapton with 2 Notch Coils wrapped with 36 awg kanthal a-1. I am starting to drool. Lol. Probably b a pain in the a** to tightly wrap those Notch Coils though.

I have yet to max out my Reuleaux DNA at 200 but fused staple notch coils might do the trick. Lol.

Good excuse to try that new Indie Duo atty. Easy Quad fused staple notch coils. Or grab that iJoy Tornado for easy sextuplets. Sweet.

Lol. I think a lot of people consider rebuilding to be doing anything more than screwing in a prebuilt replacement coil.

i left rebuilding to enjoy the prebuilt replacement coils, with my girlfriend. who just started vaping...
wont be long and this new notch coil will be a prebuilt replacement coil...

with a 5mm inside diameter it looks like fun to play with...looking forward to seeing what yall do with it...

Ive got one on preorder at Angelcigs for $20, not bad until you find out shipping is $9! So about payed regular price for it anyways, but at least it ships from within the US.

Cant wait to try it, the coil looks interesting as hell. Id love to try it in an RDA, but at 5.5mm it probably wouldnt fit in many.

I am thinking since the coil structure is flat and looks really thin that the coil o.d. will probably be similar to a 4.5 mm id 24 gauge single wire coil.

I dont like how thin it is...something tells me it will be alot like a Ribbon Only build with the Ribbon laying flat....which isnt a "GREAT" vape....if it was slightly thicker then I wouldnt be worried about that...

Saw the video for this a day or two ago. Both the tank and coil are great ideas. The coils interest me the most but the tank looks like it would be pretty bad ass too... like an avocado on steroids.
Pre angled leads, super thin tube for quick ramp up time... oh man! Gotta try those coils!

I think the notches in it might solve a lot of the problems with a plain ribbon coil. The notches should slow down the heat spread and help it spread evenly and also give room for the cotton to breath. Not positive how well it will work. Definitely an interesting idea though. It has been quite a while since I have seen a completely new coil idea. Usually they are just variations of variations. This one may not work but hopefully it will promote more off the wall coil structures in the future.

This is how the CVU on the Altus should have been...I see the use of it but Im not entirely sure how well it will heat for vaping...Im sure it will heat and evenly but with super quick ramp up and how hot it will be...with Ribbon wire you dont get a full feeling vape you get brighter nuances and notes but the vape feels anemic...this is what I am afraid of for this Notch Coil.

correct me if im under a misconception...but, this one has its limitations in wattage...55 watts or so...might not be right for all you folk that get up there in the wattage stratosphere...

Wattage has nothing to due with how people vape...its just a matter of how they enjoy a vape and what they are looking for from the vape. I have been known to vape some ridiculously low resistance builds at crazy wattages but I prefer a warm vape that I can draw from for around 2-3 seconds...if something can fulfill that at 200w or 10w Ill use it. I do like to use MTL here and there also...its all subjective.

Same here. As long as it tastes good and feels good I could care less if it is 10W or maxed out at 200. I have yet to ever get close to hitting 200 though and still have it be a pleasant Vaping experience. I don't get the mod wattage wars right now. 200, 215. Now 233. Who cares. 200 is more then enough for any coil designs out now or probably those for 2016 too.

Valkyrie - I have not seen anywhere listing a 55 watt max but u may be right. I can see that thin coil structure failing easily at higher wattages.

Most 200w boxes Ive owned are hardly near the actual 200w anyways...more like 140 real watts when maxed out...The Hohm Wrecker G2's 151w feels much stronger then any of the 200w+ boxes I have and I find that pretty interesting..
There's only a few builds that would require 200w or higher for a nice vape...Cat Tracks, Staples and some of the crazier builds Ive done need it or more just to get warm. One build needed over 350w and still was 2-3 second to ramp up and barely got warm...check over My CoilPorn Thread and you'll see some of them...

The point Im trying to get across is the coil is what demands what type of wattage you need...its not a choice unless you dont understand.

Yeah. I'm saying though that imo I don't currently see any huge benefit in some of these extremely high wattage coils. Yeah they are cool and fun to build but I think for 99.9% of the population 200 watts is more than they could possibly want or need. I have spent a lot of time building some crazy and beautiful high power coils but can mainly get the same vapor and flavor from a more traditional well built coil. I am not an over the top cloud chaser though. I enjoy great flavor and as long as it puts out better than average vapor, I am happy. I just hope this pre built SubOhm coil craze dies down and instead of spending all this time designing those they will start spending more time advancing true RDA's and RTA's. I ain't spending $5 - $7 for a coil I can build for a couple of dimes.

Have you seen the Boreas, Griffin, or Alleria RTA's? vI havent bought a prebuilt coil in quite some time so I cant comment on how well they vape or what the prices are but for some handmade coils I feel the time invested alone is worth more then a few bucks. Dont expect the craze to die down, in this age its what works for people making the leap from smoking since they are getting the "cloud" and chest thump...its going to go on for quite awhile before it burns out.

Im the same. I dont give a shit about wattage readings or voltage readings, I just care how nice the vapor is. I like a warmish, thick and quick vape. It just so happens that to get that I have to build low and fire a little high. Usually I get what I want around 0.2-0.3 ohm and around 80 watts. I built higher for my Mini Volts max of 40 watts, and while it works, I just dont get that same vape experience from it.

I have had one experience with Angelcigs. The $9 shipping charge is for a USPS flat rate box. My theory is if you stuff that box full, shipping is still $9. If nothing else, pick up a few clearance RDA's. Some are as low as $4. Hard to go wrong...
