hi guys
about a year ago i cut and chopped 20 vanilla pods and added 200ml of vodka to bottle for future ejuice mix
will this be safe to use i am concerned that the pods might create oil any info would be appreciated thanks in advance

plant matter is never good. if it was just the beans, sure..

lemme clear that up a bit more..

with vanilla pods.. they carry wax, chlorophyll and other plant like substances..
with just beans, there is none of that.

its different than herbs and tobaccos.. the only thing usable is the beans..

check out vanilla extracts and see if you see the processes.. ;)

cheers bud looks like i will give it away to someone who can use it for baking/cooking i thought it was a good idea at the time before i went on to some of the
forums and realised we need to watch what we are doing [ fecking expensive mistake eh ]

Martin, did you buy the dried dark vanilla beans that contain tiny seeds inside them? That is what is commonly sold. If so, then you did it correctly. The only issue you are going to have is the alcohol but that can be addressed by burning off the alcohol and using PG and/or VG. It is no different than doing a PGA maceration of tobacco other than vanilla will scorch easier, so watch the temps.

martin cut the entire pod up.. it wasnt a scrape out the beans..
