If you like creamy cocktail flavors, this entry is dedicated to you! This is my favorite type of vape, but the recipes can get very complex. This shows an EASY way to make many tasty, complex cocktail flavors whenever you want them.

First, stock your 'liquor cabinet'. Grab your nic base, make these bottles, and you'll have the ingredients for all the creamy cocktail recipes below:

Liquor Cabinet (all FlavourArt ingredients)
Amaretto: 0.75% Almond, 0.75% Marzipan, 0.75% Vanilla Bourbon, 0.75% Caramel
Baileys: 3% Irish Cream
Buttershots (Butterscotch Schnapps): 2% Butterscotch, 1% Brandy
Chocolate Liqueur: 2% Cocoa + 2% Chocolate
Cream: 3% Fresh Cream
Creme de Coconut: 2.5% Coconut
Creme de Menthe: 1.5% Peppermint, 0.75% Vienna Cream, 0.75% Vanilla Bourbon or Classic
Frangelico: 1.5% Hazelnut, 0.5% Vanilla Bourbon or Classic, optional 0.5% Brandy
Kahlua: 2% Espresso, 2% Vanilla Bourbon, 0.5% Jamaican Rum, 0.25% Caramel

The recipes below use only bottles from your 'liquor cabinet'. Since those bottles are already premixed to the proper strength with your nic base, you can mix as much or little of these recipes as you want, any time you like. Now you're a vape bartender!

This is really awesome stuff. The problem I'm having is I keep vaping my liqueurs up before I get a chance to make any mixes.:D

Kahlua is fantastic and if there was such a thing as an ADV for me your Amaretto would be on the list, I could literally vape it all day long!

Thanks, downInTn!

I still keep my 'liquor cabinet' stocked. They are an exception to my always-vape-fresh habit, just so they're always handy. It's fun to randomly fill a tank with various combinations. Nice thing is, no hangovers!

ugh, now i gotta order a ton more flavors AND make a mini tiki bar ... thanks =P

'mini tiki bar' - I wish I'd used that name! Mine are just in a cookie tin, but how cool would it be to have a mini tiki bar set up for a party with friends who vape. Little grass skirt around the cookie tin, little 'menus' so they can mix their own cocktail vapes - hahaha!

I wish old posts were editable, because this is an easy idea to expand. Dedicated vape-tenders can add to their liquor cabinet tiki bar. Pineapple juice (FA Pineapple 3-4%) and recipes with it are obviously missing.

You could also add conventional/hard liquor, because FA Gin, Brandy, and Whiskey (it's the Irish type) are great flavors. Small bits (0.25%-0.5%) of FA Oakwood adds a nice oak-barrel-aged touch. You can make excellent flavored brandies with FA Brandy and fruits (Apricot, Blackberry, Peach, (Fuji) Apple...) Oh - FA Red Wine, White Wine, and Champagne are all accurate flavors and good mixers, too.

Put whatever you like in your liquor cabinet or tiki bar, then follow bartender recipes and use the same ratios to fill your tank. It's easy to find inspiration and recipes online at sites like this: http://mixthatdrink.com/category/blended/ Here's one with over 10,000 recipes: http://www.drinksmixer.com/
Cheers!

@HIC! Please STOP! /lol /joke This is beyond the pale for my credit card. :) Three orders in 5 days. /lol And your new "tease" in this thread! OMG, I can't resist so here we go again!

QUESTION: I would love to see a thread with pics of flavor storage. I've only got about 50 flavors and still haven't figured out a better way to store them so I can quickly find what I'm looking for. Apologies in advance for slightly off topic :)

LOL - that's why I'm only half joking when I say just get them all, to save on the shipping charges.

Lots of people post shots of their storage solutions. I just use snack-sized zip bags that fit about 7 smaller bottles perfectly, sitting upright in rows in a couple plastic storage boxes. (fruits in one place, creams in another...I use them so often I just know were everything is.) It's a big upgrade from my cardboard box, really laughable compared to the fancy racks some people put together.

Ok, now I'm going to ask the dummies for diy vape mixing question now....say I want to mix up a Bailey's white Russian, would I use 3% Irish cream=1part and 3% fresh cream= 1 part. ? If this is correct I get it. If not, I'm stumped.

You understand the way it works, D. But let me put a heavy emphasis on the "or less" with the fresh cream.
About 2 parts Irish + 1 part fresh would be better. That happens to be 2% Irish Cream, 1% Fresh Cream.
And if you like sweet vapes (you do, right?), you might prefer Vienna Cream to Fresh.
And if you like stronger flavor, you'd have 3% Irish with 1.5% Vienna...

Yay me:) I like all kinds of vapes, just not dry ones. That bilberry surprise I made was so sweet I had to eat raw lemons and vape straight lime, raspberry... Etc.

Oh man, oh man! HIC, those links are awesome! So many possibilities. I never realized how many types of mimosas one could make....hmmmm! Champagne and mandarine/orange...maybe some bergamot with some coconut and rum....maybe not a real Malibu but sounds so good! Oh and a mojito! One of my favs! Kid in a candy store once again!

I've searched high and low for an almond joy recipe. I can't wait to try it. I placed 6 orders last weekend for flavors and nic, and then a vapers tek nic. My first order arrives tomorrow. I found 86 different FA flavors, and have 6 duplicate. I also have some TFA, FW and CAP flavors ordered.

HIC, I know you do the max vg mix. I need to do the same for my wife due to issues that popped up when she started vaping. Do you thin your mix with anything? We/I use nautilus for adving. I'm not sure max vg thickness would work well in the nautilus.

I'm just trying my damnedest to get my wife off of analogs with me. We, now only she, are getting to old to smoke.

Thanks
Frank

Yes, I thin my VG with about 15-20% water for my knock-off-mini-protank-type tanks.

This 'almond joy' is modeled after the bar drink by that name, not the candy bar. Same basic flavors, but I think you'll find it's creamier. I don't have a candy bar Almond Joy recipe, but here is my very best recipe for a named chocolate bar: http://vapingunderground.com/threads/hics-toblerone-chocolate-bar.23656/ If your wife likes those candy bars, she will probably like that vape a lot.

Ah, that makes sense. I looked twice for AP tucked into something.

I'll have track one down a toblerone and try it.

Thanks!

Whoa!!! How do you have time for all this? Too awesome. @HeadInClouds I wish all your posts were conveniently located in a dedicated forum :)

This recipe set is nearly 2 years old. I was pretty new to FA at the time, and creamy cocktails were my favorite. I don't keep the whole mini bar around any more, but I usually have Amaretto, Creme de Menthe, Frangelico, and Kahlua. Those appear in disguise in LOTS of my later recipes. Buttery Nutty Squirrel, Leprechaun's Lunch and Chocolate Squirrel would probably still be my favorites.

Is there any way of making my own Marzipan flavor? I've been looking for the FA Marzipan for the past year and conveniently (no matter where I place my order) they have everything else I want except Marzipan or Lime Cold Pressed.

No, but if I didn't have Marzipan, I'd use FA Torrone in its place. It has Marzipan in it, just not as bold, and it adds some honey-vanilla (and wee hint of citrus). Marzipan is very sweet bitter-almonds; Torrone is nougat made with marzipan.

Oh awesome! Thank you so much. I have Torrone :) I just can't believe my impossible bad luck of always finding every other flavor except those two. I laugh at the website every time it happens. There are about 3 vendors I use for FA flavorings and it seems that if I want to order let's say; Coconut, Cookie, Marzipan, and Vienna Cream. The first website will have everything, but Marzipan. The other one that has Marzipan will be out of Cookie....I suspect I'm not the only one this happens to, but it's just comical that it's now happened 8 times in a row.

Thank you so very much for the countless hours you spent sharing your knowledge with the community and the world. Have you ever Considered how many people got their start in DIY from your recipes or notes? I know mine was and I much appreciate it.as I do appreciate everyone who contributes on the forums fielding multitudes of questions from hopeless newbies such as myself.

Yes, I thin my VG with about 15-20% water for my knock-off-mini-protank-type tanks.

This 'almond joy' is modeled after the bar drink by that name, not the candy bar. Same basic flavors, but I think you'll find it's creamier. I don't have a candy bar Almond Joy recipe, but here is my very best recipe for a named chocolate bar: http://vapingunderground.com/threads/hics-toblerone-chocolate-bar.23656/ If your wife likes those candy bars, she will probably like that vape a lot.
hello HIC,, your work is awesome and much appreciated. i have your posts as my nightly reading,, going way back. i noticed in 2014 you mentioned using 10% water,, and in this post you mention 15-20%. thats cool,, but may i ask you for the reason you decided on water over pg? i have been vaping max vg for a month or so and its fine,,,but i wonder if water can thin down the vg to a near similar affect one would get with pg? i am not a fan of pg,,just a personal quirk,, but its not a die hard rule for me either.
i would like to hear your thoughts on water vs pg and the impact/affect upon recipes..

huge thanks!--big fan of your work :)

@kross8 Water is thinner than pg so it brings the viscosity of vg down to pg levels much easier.
So viscosity-wise, using 85vg-15water equals to 100% pg, or something really close to that.

i noticed in 2014 you mentioned using 10% water,, and in this post you mention 15-20%.

I use water instead of PG because vaping PG aggravates my tinnitus. It took me a while to discover that; I used to use lots of PG. When I switched to water, I found I actually prefer the flavor. PG tastes like chemicals to me.

The amount I use varies by season (cold weather, I use more) and of course on the hardware I'm using, too. Only time I have a problem is in very cold weather - PG has a real advantage then.

i understand,, and i too find a mild chemical taste with pg,,, but i was thinking i must be crazy because everyone says pg has no flavor.........

when i noticed your mentions of water,,i started wondering if water is actually assisting you with flavors vs pg.,,,,any thoughts? yesterday i mixed up some neat at 80vg/20w 2mg and it tasted fine

You and I aren't the only ones who DO taste that chemical flavor in PG. I think a lot of people just get used to it.

I don't think water assists with flavors directly, but I've seen other people say it does for them. If I didn't use any, I'd get dry hits - and that's a flavor nobody can enjoy.
