Sorry for such a stupid question but I definitely need help. I went to rewrap some of my married batteries. I had 2 different sets with 2 different mah. I already removed the old wrap... Now how can identify wich batteries all match? Thanks in advance.

You should not have mixed up the sets while working with them to begin with but now you have to hope that the numbers on the cells will give a clue.

Thanks for the replies. OK so I took this picture of just 1 of the 18650 battery Is there a way to use the markings of letters and numbers to figure out who manufactured.,and also the specs for it. Any help is appreciated. And I know I shouldn't have mixed up I got distracted and came back to see they all just rolled together. And I know in the original shrink wrap it say LG, Samsung, etc but I had already wrapped these before. I keep changing how they look. So apparently I can't figure out how to post a picture here. Every time I try to upload a picture it's says it failed because of low memory... I have plenty. But anyway here is what's written on this particular battery.
    L0G9
    696
    B3C2
    W22
They are in different spots on the battery separately the way I wrote them out.

Just copy and paste the pictures and if you receive a message it is too large resize the pictures.

Should still be able to copy and paste the pictures. If you are use Craptalk I don't use or know about it so can't help there.

What are the brands? What did the old wraps say? Instead of going on a wild goose chase and trying to decode from the ground up, give us some crumbs. What are the two different sets we are dealing with here? I would be willing to cut a couple of wraps off if I have the same brand and series.

Thanks for replies. OK so those pictures with all the markings on the battery are of just 1 battery. Unfortunately I don't know what the original wrap said because this is my 3rd time changing the wraps.

Can you post a pic of the positive ends? LGs and Samsung look a little bit different.

For lack of better phrasing, Samsung 25r has 3 bent prongs on the top, whereas LG has 4. Don't know how else to describe that, and also don't know if that will help.

When I rewrap I remove the labels and reuse them on the batteries to know which they are.

Ya that is what I will do from now on. But like I said I've rewrapped them a couple of times now. I just did something really stupid this time I unwrapped 6 batteries and needed a drink and when I came back I found them on the

OK here's a picture of the top of the battery But the other issue is that even though I'd need the brand (well technically brand doesn't matter) but I do have to make sure the ones I use together are the same mah so I need a way to find out that information from those markings in the batteries. Or if someone knows a way to tell how many mah each one is.

Are all 6 the same brand?

Are you using a regulated mod or a mech?

If the mod is regulated and the batteries are the same brand you can just take a guess.

Yea, you are supposed to keep them together but I know a lot of vapers that let them get mixed up.

Three battery mods were the thing for a while but when I quit using both of mine I just circulated the 6 batteries into my dual mod pile.

If all else fails use them as six individual batteries. Next time you remove the original wraps save the labels. When mine will no longer stick they will go under the wraps.

I sometimes use a sharpie underneath of the transparent / translucent wraps.
I try to avoid solid color wraps for the same reason.

I just label them like: 1a & 1b and also a month and year number like: 11/18

I label mine sort of the same because I have dropped a couple one time and if it wasn't for the underscore on the 1 or 2 marking I would have never known which was which. Even a simple dot or two works. I have found the less you mark the longer it lasts.

No the 6 batteries are not the same brand and I think 3 of them are different mah. And yup from now on I am going to mark them so I know. And I only use regulated vape. So I absolutely have to make sure I don't mix 2 different mah batteries together. Noone knows how to figure out this information from the letters and numbers on printed on the batteries huh? Or a way to figure out the mah on them with something like a multimeter or something??

You would need a load tester like I use for car batteries.

If you're in the US you should just buy some new ones. They're relatively cheap as is the shipping. It truly is something not to screw around with.

Off the top of my head the one you pictured is likely a Samsung, but I don't think you can tell which one just by those markings. Getting mAh with a multimeter is impossible. You can get mAh with a capacity testing charger like the Opus BTC3100. But it's not just mAh, you need to use completely identical batteries together.
