Got a good caramel apple recipe?

Would love to find a good one, but have been writing one up based on parts of a few I've seen around online.

Here's what I'm thinking, but am open to suggestion:

6-8% apple (depending on where it comes from)
4% caramel
2% marshmallow
2% sweet cream
.5-1% sweetener

Not a Caramel Apple Recipe but I make a Pears in Caramel Sauce that I think works well and I am sure could be adapted to Apple, if it is any use to you

Pear (MF) 1.5%
Caramel (MF) 0.75%
Vanilla (MF) 0.5%
Milk & Honey (Flavorah) 2%
Brown Sugar Extra (TPA) 1 Drop per 10ml

My notes for this recipe

The Medicine Flower extracts used are full strength from the manufacturers and not already diluted

Medicine Flower Caramel and Pear go really well together I think, and the Milk & Honey smooths the finished flavour off and gives it a little bit of creaminess

Steeped for 2 weeks

I'm always "just about to buy" Medicine Flower and keep not getting around to it. I have the idea it's going to be a whole new chapter, maybe I'm subconsciously resisting it. Having no clue about most of those flavors I can only say your recipe looks yummy :)

Oh, sorry, no--I'm pretty sure it's either FA (from the kitchen line) or TFA actually. Let me try to nail that down for you. Meanwhile, anyone remember?.

lol

the Redi whip option I used on cramptholomew's poke cake...vape, squirt in mouth, vape, squirt in mouth. It's a good option imho.

Yeah there's always that :) Thanks for finding the thread, Ron.
It does clarify that it's FA Whipped Cream. You can also see that some people use TFA Whipped Cream.

I know there was a recipe posted on here called casino Apple. That was a pretty good mix.
I couldn't find it when searching, but thanks anyway.

I believe I may go with Lirruping's recipe, but it will be a while. I just placed an order & I would need to order again (which I can't do for a couple of weeks) to complete the ingredient list.

Interesting list of ingredients, but only 4.5%? How was the flavor? I guess one could always bump up the percentages if needed.

I ask because I seem to get vapor's tongue about every 5-6 weeks for a week at a time.
Nevermind. My question was answered in another thread. Someone else posted a recipe using all FA flavors with only 5%. I was told FA flavors are more concentrated than the TFA, Capella, & FW.

I think you'll love it -- just bear in mind it's Rocket Puppy's recipe. I would love to take credit for it because it's so nuanced, so impressive. You really will be thrilled with it, I think. It had an impact on the direction I went with mixing after I tried it because it accomplished so much with so little. If you mix it, let us know how you like it!

Here is the best:

Rocket Puppy's Caramel Apple (FlavourArt)

0.5% Apple Pie
0.75% Butterscotch
1.75% Caramel
0.5% Coconut
0.1% Fuji
0.5% Peach
0.3% Pear
1.0% Vienna Cream
0.5% Whipped Cream

There's a thread here about it. It's honestly amazing.
Definitely agree. Amazing how the peach, pear, and fuji really blend to give off a good apple flavor.

Have you any tips on steep times or like just general tips? I'm finding it hard to taste anything other than generic pudding, I get a lot of cream and a lot of a biscuit flavour but can't taste the apple or caramel, steeped for about 3 weeks so far

Have you tried it fresh? What are you vaping on? Maybe you need to up the apple components to suit your taste buds.

I tried it as a shake and vape and it definitely gets better with steeping but not past a certain point so far, I've used it in a cleito 120, the royal hunter XT and the teapot rda and neither was really astounding flavour, I'm very surprised to say that in the cleito the flavour was the dullest, I've tried removing the creams, adding more apple and more toffee/caramel but neither makes a big difference

Well you could start by upping FA Fuji to 0.5% and see how you like that. If that's the apple flavor you are trying to get out of it, then play with FA Fuji % and adjust the rest in case compensation is needed. FA Fuji is like a crisp tart Fuji apple. It tends to stand out in the beginning but will calm down after a week or 2.

Or you could try adding in FA Apple at 1% and bumping FA Fuji to 0.25% and giving that a go. FA Apple is pretty tame and not as sharp as FA Fuji but if you are looking for more of a red apple / apple juice type flavor, FA Apple works nicely.

There are plenty of apples out there, I guess it depends what your taste buds are missing in this recipe. Hopefully it all works out.
