Never have understood the draw of cloud competitions. I vape 1. reduce my risks and risks to loved ones 2. to enjoy a safer means to use nicotine 3. to enjoy all the various flavors 4. to enjoy not having dirty ashtrays.

Sure, I love chucking out some nice clouds at times. It's nice to watch them swirl around then vanish. But the reasons above for me are what the lure is to vaping. Cloud competitions to me seem to be like pissing wars. Yeah, so? Everyone can piss .. duh? But then again, it's all subjective and I don't disparage the cloud chasing competitors. If that's what floats their boat, more power to them.

They're still vapers. I'm still a vaper. S'all Good. That does not infer I do not see your point of view. I do and respect it. I am merely offering a counter view. Neither is right or wrong, we each see right as we choose what's right for ourselves. Again, it's all okay. If we were all the same life would be so dull.

That's pretty elitist Mikhail. I don't cloud chase either, but if that's the way some like to vape it's fine with me. Fracturing the vape community with "those vapers shouldn't do it that way, and should do it more like me" is just damaging the community as a whole. Cloud chasing is a thing, whether you like it or not, and you should be standing up for their rights as much as your own. Trying to make vapers hide what they do is not the way to fight this. Either we fight the regs as a whole community, with all it's differences and complexities, or we just lay over and give up. Not an option. Me telling people to avoid gathering in dark buildings and screaming about who stepped over the line because their cloud was biggest bro (and that's putting it politely) while chugging beer and bashing companies, products and people is not elitist, not when we're under a microscope, not when we're trying to survive. This stuff doesn't go on in dark corners, this stuff is filmed, attended by many people and put on every social media outlet there is. It's a problem right now, not in general. You mistake me caring about them. I don't have the capacity to feel emotions over what people do in their free time, I literally do not. That's neither here nor there. I'm fine with it existing, I'm saying put it on hold because we have more important shit to worry about than who has the biggest cloud, because those clouds might not exist soon. It doesn't help when the people worrying about who has the biggest cloud act like a bunch of savage idiots while doing so, usually on film.

It's frivolous to sit around and obsess over who produced the most vapor while the FDA, Big Tobacco and Big Pharma are looking for ANYTHING to use as weapons against us. You're taking vaping for granted when you thinking associating acting like a fool with vaping is helping us. That isn't elitist, it's being smart. Vaping needs our FULL TRANSPARENCY right now, and cloud competitions don't tend to be respectful gatherings. Go to 3 or 4, not small town B&M events, real ones. You'll be on the same page brother.

Big tobacco had a long time, decades, to refine their public image. We don't have the same luxury. If a huge improvement can come from dropping cloud comps and limiting the vape models, I don't see that as even a slight issue.

Unfortunately it seems that the majority of public gatherings for vape minded people, are aimed at a demographic of 16-20 year old boys. While it is a similar feel to an import car show, I don't know of any car enthusiasts having to pay 100% taxes on car parts.
