What you saw was the vaping equivalent of car tuning: all about showing off, of very little practical value to get a better vape experience, slightly retarded, and giving us all a bad name. "Nuances of Ohm's law" by shiny hiney
Was gonna go on a rant but its way to early, this is not good....thanks for posting. Oh and if its against the law for them to buy this stuff maybe them and the parents should start with getting ticketed by one John E. Law, when they are caught with one? Theres a novel approach, no? Break the law, get a ticket...There, theres a solution so the man dont have to raise taxes on ejuice and accompanying products, enforce the laws..
The man wants excuses to raise taxes and control everything. Applying existing laws and dealing with the problem rationally is the last thing the man wants.
I agree with you 100% and then some if possible...
The wording in the beginning of the article says it all "public health groups" which if you put on your thinking caps means government. Now if it said "private health groups" that would be different. The government is public in as were we pay for it and have use of it. Where private groups are for members only. Just something to think about.
Of course the hook is the poor kids and what will happen to them. I know teens that vape but they have no nicotine in there juice. Of course when they do these studies they don't take that into account. These things are always slanted to their agenda.
The survey didn't show much of an increase in overall use of all the "tobacco related" products that includes ecigs. That number stayed relatively the same for high school students over the past 5 years, up slightly from 24.2 to 24.6% used at least one on their list. Ecigs and hookahs were also moved up in the questionnaire to the top between 2013 and 2014. They are push polling.
Fewer HS and middle school students as the article states are using real tobacco products like cigarettes and cigars- down over 25%. That is fantastic and speaks well for ecigs.
Seems students are experimenting, as kids do, with ecigs rather than cigars and cigarettes. All really good news for the long term health of our children.
Cigarette use among adults >18yo has slid down to just over 17% after years of stagnating around 20-22% and even rising again during the 2008 recession. The drop started not coincidentally around 2010 when ecigs first hit the mainstream in the US. The trend projects it to be around 15% in the next year or so. It is no wonder big tobacco and the tax authorities are noticing.
It seems all the studies show that teens are moving away from cigarettes and trying ecigs, which is good like you said. The boat problem I have is they want to try to close down vaping or just to pushfor high taxes on ecigs to make up for the losses due to decrease in cigarette sales.
As usual, abstinence, is the only solution. This article isn't LOOKING at the benefits of e-cigarettes.Tobacco free is their answer. Any use of e-cigarettes (nicotine or not) is a problem.
This KID argument isn't working as well as CDC would like. The CDC reports debunks their public statements. Hell, their survey didn't even identify if nicotine was in the e-cigarettes reported being used.
I never see vape shops ID but that's irrelevant...kids are gonna do what they do. Cigarettes, drugs, yada yada.... Vaping has grown more mainstream in past years especially in the past two I started vaping (although I've known about it since before I turned 18 back in 2010). My point being they're more popular now so a lot more people are doing it so of course kids are going to.... all of this regulation and criticism in the past year on vaping is ridiculous)/

All I can say is, when I was a kid, I wish the cool thing to do had been vaping. I'd have spared my lungs 25 years of smoking...
I second this!!!! except I smoked analogs much less than 25

They have too many laws on the books now that they can not and do not enforce.
Making more laws that they don't plan on enforcing isn't the answer.
