Hi. I'm new to all this vaping thing, but I'm totally into it.
So my story about vaping started with eGo-T CE4 to get first impressions about this all. Started to watch some crazy vapers videos on youtube and started to think that I need something better than eGo-T CE4 and went one little step higher to eGo X6 with ProTank 2 because of money issues etc. But next thing what I'm thinking about in future is Eleaf iStick.

So the first question is this weird thing(for me). What's difference between those two things?

And this one....

Second question is about Pro Tank 2 coil.
I understood that PT2 comes with 2.0-2.4 ohm, but I would like to change coil with 1.5 ohm, 1.8 ohm. So, how can I know what kind of coil fits for my PT2? Usually I buy these kind of thing on the web, so I would like to know what should I choose better and how can I know it coil I have chosen will fit.

So I would like to hear from you guys who have gone trough this all and could help me with these first steps in my vaping adventure. Hehe, thanks!

Hey man, welcome to VU! The protank 2 will take the single coil version of the Kanger coils which I think you can get in 1.5, 1.8, 2.0 or 2.2 ohm resistances.

http://www.discountvapers.com/kanger-protank-evod-coil-replacement-5-pack-1-8ohms-1/

Also, the X6 was what I stepped up to after going through a few VV spinners, it's a solid battery but all of ours died after a few months. My wife is using the iStick with her Kanger Aerotank and loves it! If you're looking for good cheap upgrade to the protank check out the version 3 airflow control valve: http://www.myvaporstore.com/Kanger-Airflow-Control-3-0-Large-p/krac-l3.htm It'll turn your protank into an aerotank and the flavor difference is incredible!

Good luck.

Yeah wait til you try it, it's like a whole new tank!

Also, on rebuilding the coils - it can be done but it's a bit challenging at first. I've made probably 10 of the protank coils at this point and only 2 of them came out the way I wanted. But when they get messed up I just tear em down and start over! You'll want an ohm meter if you're going to be rebuilding them for sure, it's easy to short them out if you're not paying attention.

About that rebuilding - If I won't be satisfied with that original coil, then I'm going to try rebuilding. I just think that 2.0 or 2.2 ohm coil won't give that amount of smokes I would like to have, haha.

Hello @Affliction - Welcome to VU!
The X6 is a standard VV Ego battery. It is 1300Mah.

The eleaf iStick is Variable Voltage and Wattage (VV/VW) which allows you more freedom to adjust to different style and ohms coils. The iStick also has a larger battery @ 2200Mah. I love my iSticks and use them daily. I could vape off a single iStick for about 1 1/2 days before recharging. The iStick also offers the convenience of ego or non-ego threading. And of course, the digital display is always a great feature. It will read the ohms of your coil... display your battery life. And another added feature is you can toggle between Voltage or Wattage. And it's smart wattage... so when you are in wattage mode it automatically adjusts the voltage to what is best suited to the ohm coil you have attached.

About the PT2 heads. Be careful that you are ordering them from a reputable co. that you know sells authentic Kanger products. There are a lot of co's out there that sell them, but they are not authentic Kanger heads. ProTank II is exactly what you need to search for. The authentic ones come in 1.5, 1.8, 2.2, or 2.5 Ohms. I get mine from SmartVapes... they run a special where you can get a full case (50 heads) for like $36. Here's a few reputable places that sell the PT2 heads...

Thanks for info about iStick! I did a little research myselft about iStick 20W and 30W. Totally getting 30W iStick in this month, also trying to find some great sub-ohm tanks with great airfliw etc. so I can get some nice clouds out of this iStick and sub-ohm set.

A subtank nano/mini works great on the istick 30W. It'll run either 0.5 or 1.2 ohm coils. I usually run my .5 ohm coils around 25-30W and the 1.2 ohm coils at 20-25W You can get some great clouds off the subtank!
