Perhaps they are seeking additional income streams as this forum thing isn't working out for them. Each member is greeted with:

He's a great guy and has superb insight into what's going on in the insurance world regarding vape, so whether or not you're currently in the market for a policy please visit his ECF forum and say "hi"...

This is a big deal - insurers are waking up to the positive health choices of vapers and David is at the vanguard of this change.

In addition, to spamming every account, there's a link to the insurance company beneath the header on every page.

Yes, I am, as I have been for over seven years, but I'm not resentful nor do I harbor vehemence as many here enjoy demonstrating. I just prefer VU and the peeps who inhabit this place (with only rare exception).

Pro-advertising, members of the profession and devil's advocate arguments to the contrary are heartily encouraged!

also have to say the lack of posting there is a bit disappointing. I remember how hot that place was 5 years ago and nowadays, you have posts that are a month old still on the first page in some sections

Great way to run afoul and earn the ass fucking they are asking for by screwing with state insurance commissions.

I don't mind the forum but compared to years past all the fun has been
sucked out of it.
Can't believe they're pushing insurance now. The greed is hitting them too.
I stopped going there for long periods of time at one point (prob six months
at a time), I'll eventually get to that point again at the rate they're going.
