So true, especially that Andrea lady, she gets under my skin by spelling her name wrong, insisting it has an "i" instead of an "e"...

:p

I asked my mom last year why she spelled it that way instead of the usual way. Her answer: "To be different." Gee thanks, mom.

I thought he called someone else a knowitall?
I questioned if he was breaking rules or not.
There is Family Guy Porn cartoons out.
And that one looked like it might be one.
Did not click on it though, too disgusting if not porn.
That is actually just off the cartoon dude & how is calling someone a know it all breaking the rules.

If Steve didn't come into this thread and repeatedly act like an asshole insulting everyone for no reason at all, nobody would have ganged up on him. Maybe go back and read some of his shit over the last few weeks and you'd see that he started this shit, not Whiskey, not Cromwell, not anybody here. In fact it would only take a second for you to realize that Whiskey didn't even say he was breaking the rules if you had read the whole conversation.
Yeah he comes in and repeatedly tries to stir us up angainst some lady here who supposedly talks bad about us on the other board.

We repeatedly tell him we do not give a shit about what someone says about us over there.

And yet he persists.
But the tasteless cartoon image of a fat adult male with his naked ass in an underage girls face...
Just ignore.

Hey Douche I thought you ignored me last night? Idle threat I guess? And informing there is a traitor in our midst is not being as you say a tattletale since I never disclosed who the traitorous cunt is. I related how the cunt made a big deal on ECF about the badge and what is said here but if you don't care fine but remember that when it comes back to bite your ass.

Yay! A little happy on my end. Wife let me get a free trial month to the WWE network. That means I can see their Summer Slam broadcast live this year.

Yes, I realize that approximately 80-95% of WWE's wrestling is faked, scripted. That's fine by me as I watch it for entertainment, a form of escapism from all the general crap in the world. It isn't the greatest entertainment but it gets close in my humble opinion. :)

We are also going forward with the getting out notion. It takes time as I'm sure most are aware.

Well everyone run 'er slow and 'member GFY.

Oh my fucking god you people really need to deal with sarcasm & come back to the real world

Well, if you find us so repugnant... you came in here of your own free will, and can leave the same way. Hate us. We don't care, and everyone, including you, will be much happier if you just take a hike. Bye now... don't let the door hit you in the ass.

Thanks Cromwell, now it makes sense. Apparently I missed some things, including the honor of being told to go fuck myself.
Although apparently reading comprehension isn't Steve's strong suit, since I never actually called him an asshole.
And just in case there is any doubt about that...

If Steve didn't ...repeatedly act like an asshole

Ohh not the act, I have that down pat :D

It is the intent.
I think I understand but still seems a bit foreign to me.
Prolly a holdover from my strict Penetcostal upbringing.
I dunno.
Ahhh, gotcha

I grew up in a strict Catholic family

We just made a terrific deal with ADT, renewing our contract with them. :) It's relevant here mainly because until I quit smoking, the monthly monitoring fee was quite out of our reach; once the obscenely expensive cigarettes were gone, when ADT came to the door in 2014 to sell us a system, we said yes. :)

So now, in addition to the alarmed doors and indoor motion detectors, we will now be getting a Nest thermostat -- which will be installed thursday -- a power module for some of our lights, and the ability to control the entire system -- security, lights, thermostat -- from our smartphones. The installation fee is moderate (less than half the cost of the Nest, which comes with the deal for free!), and the increase monthly is just $15, quite doable... and they are also throwing in a camera, as a thank-you for renewing for another 3 yrs.

I love being a non-smoker. :)

Well, I'm allegedly some adult or something. I grew up too quickly. So, I now indulge a few moderate childish vices. Escapism in modern gladiator theater (or as some call it Soap Operas for men) is one of a limited few.

"Rocky" has not "smelled what the Rock is cooking" for a while now. His cousin, Nia, wrestles in the women's division currently. I like watching Finn Balor, he reminds me and my wife of a gay porn star, although I'm sure he is nowhere near being that.

Also been watching American Ripper. It seems to present at least a plausible theory. Enjoy other documentary films as well. There's balance in the vices, despite stating reading holds difficulty for me due to sleeping, do read a good bit still. No longer read ravenously but still do ... read. :)

About half pondering a few notions presently. Seems I've about six quite differing ideas which oppose one another swarming in this cluttered realm called a mind. Been too focused of late and a venturing in internal dialogs to sate, reconcile ideas is a bit nice. :) I have to be careful though. Often wander too far and go swimming in pools of insanity. ;)

Careful with this. Ensure you keep your phone software updated and use bio-metric access control if available. I'm sure if No Such Agency desire, they'll control your home via the ADT system. Not sure why they would desire that but there's always that nagging ... "what if?" Of course, not only them could harbor such capability. Soon too you'll start having Average Joe & Jane Doe use 7th dimension holograms.

One idea I am pondering is the debate on getting cybernetic upgrading of the sciatic nerves, so as to bypass the natural ones which are tied up in the muscles, causing pain, involuntary nerve spasms, blacking out in pain. This too is coming. Not sure I want to be a technocratic but gee, upgrading might be helpful to a degree. As I said, an internal debate. :)

I've considered it at some length, this newfangled "IoT" (Internet of Things), and I'm in favor of some aspects, and quite opposed to others. Being able to control my alarm, thermostat, some of my lights, and see what the camera sees, with my smartphone, all sound like very good ideas. The front door itself, however, will remain low-tech, key-only locking.

I have no particular qualms about big brother in terms of my dwelling; what big brother demands of my money and how that money is used, is a far bigger issue to me. My major qualm is that I don't want a hacker to be able to unlock my frontdoor by hacking my phone. The camera, and various other safeguards, should be safe enough -- we don't live in the inner city or anything like that, and what security we have should be sufficient as a deterrent. It's really more of a convenience and peace-of-mind protector than anything else -- we've needed a new thermostat since we moved here; the one we have now is programmable, but uses characters that are damned nearly invisible, gray on gray LCD and TINY, and its default programming is a huge pain in the ass -- the Nest will learn our habits and program itself accordingly, and should actually help us both save money and be more comfortable at all hours. The fact that it's basically free save for the installation cost, that's fandamntastic -- they cost about $250, and though my husband is terrifically handy, he is neither an electrician nor an HVAC technician, so having a professional installation is just what we need.

Cybernetic upgrades for my carcass would be awesome, but I ain't holding my breath. :D

I'm seeing Nest t-stats in about 40% of the buildings we inspect throughout Arizona...and becoming more popular by the day. They are simple to use, and quite intelligent.

My major qualm is that I don't want a hacker to be able to unlock my frontdoor by hacking my phone.

That's where I was steering the rudders. :) I recall reading an article where some script kiddies wrangled their way into a database of pacemakers, as in could access them in living patients and have their jollies. Needles to say someone very aptly and timely offered a Jimmied software bandage & got the security issue full on locked down. Now it is vastly far more difficult to pry into such devices. There is around six double authentication measures in place. Before, it was a hole you could drive three jackknifing Mack trucks through easily.

The fact that it's basically free save for the installation cost, that's fandamntastic -- they cost about $250, and though my husband is terrifically handy, he is neither an electrician nor an HVAC technician, so having a professional installation is just what we need.

I feel as though "Smart" homes & the tech behind them are pretty awesome. Would often speak to my boyfriend, who technically is/was a civilian contractor for Army engineers but also gets handed "don't ask" assignments, about the coming wave/s of technology. Me and him agreed, it's fine so long as it fades into the woodwork so to speak. Don't let me notice my living room wall is a television, video calling server, just do it when and as needed with minimal learning curve.

I don't figure Uncle Sugar would help help buy me a new butt, ergo, doubtful I'll see upgrades. My butt is broken, got a crack in it. Well, not that I have a butt really, more a flat board I set on.

Let me step over here and get a :coffee2: going on and :coffee::coffee: out to all that need and a few   and :) :)s. Y'll run 'er slow. Need to scoot on a while.

Yep they are a high theft item in stores.

Not surprised. I've seen them as low as $199 in some places, but the MSRP is $249 - yow! Been wanting one since I first heard of them, but when I saw that ADT was offering them as an upgrade/perk to existing members, I stopped looking at other security companies as potential replacements once our initial 3 yr contract was up. ADT's monitoring is a bit more costly than others', but they offer a lot in terms of hardware, and they do have an outstanding rep -- and as their commercials say, security is all they do, so I'd guess their rep is justly earned.

Twice now, thx to the ADT signs we have displayed, we've had "phishermen" come by and pretend to be "from ADT" and then ask us about our keypad -- first time, we weren't really aware of what their scam was, but when it happened again about 3 wks ago, as soon as that question came out of the guy's mouth, I nearly chased him off the property. :giggle:

Oh dear - felt I had to scrap my juice fast today - half way through a 10-day goal

Shit around me got out of control and I started to not feel well  Got frustrated and decided to drop it for now

Maybe try again next month

So either the juice diet went or you had to kill someone?

imho you made the correct decision.

Well here is what happened:

Was actually feeling fairly well for only drinking juice since Tuesday night and just starting to feel like I was getting my energy up and remarkably, have not been grouchy at all, a little sluggish at first though

Then, I got busy selling rusty cast iron pots and mismatched lamp shades and missed my mid morning juice - major blood sugar crash, started feeling very hungry and very, very bitchy, but decided to just have my juice and ride it out. Then Dr Edgar Balzac knocked my juice over onto the my lap with a crowd of bargain hunters wanting to haggle over 50 cent items:blah: and I could tell the end was nigh :giggle:
