At the ball drop knock off in Raleigh on NYE it seems there were folks shooting guns up in the air. One of the bullets hit a college student in the side on the way down causing her to have emergency surgery to assess the damage and repair. Shattered a rib, nicked her lung plus did other damage as it moved around in her body. The doctors said she was lucky that had the bullet went 2 inches either way she would’ve been dead. Adds new meaning to the phrase idiots are everywhere.
I’m thankful that none of my animals are bothered by loud noises like fireworks or gunshots because we heard plenty here at midnight.

... I was up real late with a scared to death pit bull puppy boy. Poor baby was so scared he was trembling as he glued himself to my side. I love fireworks and I love to go out and shoot in my back yard but I hate my dog being that scared of all the booms going off outside.

Sherlock, one of the Great Pyrenees we had would get so over frightened by noises. One night I went down and "settled" down to bed time in their shed. He come over and lay right up again me and was shuddering from hearing the wind. His long slender awkward body had a time cuddling with me like a squirrel.

And will pay up to a couple of bucks for 20 oz of bottled water...

Some places you almost gotta - I will not drink the water in Seattle for instance - I can smell the chlorine in it from about five feet from the faucet, water fountains, etc

But our well here at home is excellent - and it comes out of the tap at 34 degrees year round - perfect

Ugh. Damn arthritis is being quite painful today in my big toe joint on left foot. Oh well, could be ... better or worse. Here's a couple interesting tracks. The group tried to get off the ground circa 1985. It was about then too the second track, Anonymous came out. Both these tunes were used in a B class movie titled Cavegirl .

Found it interesting to have found something which might have been a reference to the hack-tivist group called Anonymous way back when. Don't think there was any correlation but don't know there wasn't either. Kind of a hinky jinky to ponder. :)

Where I live the water is great for me but my mom who uses the same well and is much closer to it, it sucks for her with a light sulpher odor and taste to it. Always found that odd. Her house is around 30' from the well yet for it to get to my house it has 500' of pipe. For some reason or other the water going thru that pipe changes it for I never have any odor from the water in my house and it taste great.

Ahh Humans want the rain to be just like baby bears porridge.
The complain if too much and complain louder if too little.
I do the same and am not entirely human :)

It has rained so damn much that the mud in my yard is starting to smell like swamp sewage.

I think it's because of those damn pyros in CA, they just can't help setting everything on fire, can't put it out for weeks or months because IT'S A FUCKING DESERT, and then all that smoke goes up and heads east thx to the jet stream, and we get floods. I'm hoping CA will hurry up and fall off into the ocean.

I have heard that if CA starts falling into the ocean that most Californians plan to move to GA.

Ca serves a purpose as a nut attracter.
Biggest producer of nuts in the country.

They won't move here; everyone outside the deep south thinks GA is full of hillbillies with shotguns. They're not too far wrong... at least about the guns. ;)

Humans pay many millions each year to be scared.

It seems I more appreciated the horror genre when younger. No longer desire watching horror. Might read some but I also shy away from it too.

Talking with the wife made me realize I had grown up watching a ton of horror.

The Shinning, Friday the Thirteenth (most of the series of movies), The Howling (most of them), Hell Raiser (All but the last, most recent one), Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original at a drive in and two others, not seen the 3 d one or the latest rendering), Nightmare on Elm Street (I think all of them, possibly missed one the latest), Cube (and Cube 2, Part of Cube Zero), Candyman, Killer Clowns From Outer Space .., Saw most of these before reaching late teens, early twenties.

Now, I do not want to watch horror. I think the combination of home life and seeing all that horror genre back when growing up, out-horror-ed me.

My stepfather invited someone into our home. This man he invited in was a very sick person. The man wanted to show my stepfather how to handle my mom. He come and dragged mom out of bed, shoved her down a flight of stairs, picked her up and carried her to bed again. I recall waking and watching in pure horror, disbelief, confusion. Being only six years old at the time served to really place limits on me. Years later I met this man out in the world. He laughed at me and ask if my mom needed more lessons. My response isn't fit to read. *ahem* So, nope, I no longer care for the horror genre.

I don't like being pointlessly afraid, seems counter intuitive to me.

Haha, we got both up here in West by Gawd Virginny. :) ;) ;P I wonder if we could CA to move to AL. I hear folks go to AL and kind of like vanish or go off into some kind of limbo or sumpin.

California. A beautiful state totally fucked up by liberalism. Recently during one of the California fires Trump stated that they brought it on themselves by being so over regulated that no one is able to clear the dead brush away anymore. It takes so many permits and red tape that people said fuck it and now California is a huge tinder box that will burn every damn year. Yet what came of what Trump said, they all ridiculed him for it. Screw the truth, just operate on misguided hatred and BTW, keep sending those Federal funds to help recover form the disaster they created.

California is a shining example of why liberalism/socialism will never ever work. They are the most socialist state in the nation yet they have more people living in absolute poverty in tent cities than any other state. These are Americans, not illegals living in tent cities and the liberals can give a flying fuck about them other than they keep crapping on the cities sidewalks. If they care less about the poor and homeless now and only care about illegals, then what do people actually think would happen if America ever went full socialism? Yet thats the real problem. People dont think. Instead they let that idiot box with CNN and MSNBC brainwash them like a herd of sheeple.

A lil tidbit I heard on the news last night. In California of all the people summoned for jury duty, 450K of them said they could not serve because they was not American citizens. Where does California get the pool of people to summons for jury duty? Yep, voter registration. And thats only the ones summoned for jury duty. How many hundreds of thousands of people are registered to vote yet are not American citizens thanks to liberalism.

Ahh but the ones who get scared like the horror/gross movies the most.

I have not watched many but got enough glimpses...
Most all of them are not really scary to me however I find them extremely gross and disgusting.

I prefer reading horror, to watching it in movies; and I won't see ANY horror movie *at* the movies -- it's easier to handle it in my own home with the lights on, seems less "real" that way. But I won't read formulaic crap at all (like Clive Barker or Lovecraft); if I'm going to read horror, it's probably either Stephen King, Dean Koontz, maybe Anne Rice, or some of this "urban fantasy" (the new label for stuff about witches, werewolves, and vampires, apparently) stuff.

I only watched Elm St accidentally... wandered into the kitchen for a soda after telling my ex I didn't care to see it; he had it on in the living room, and I could see the screen from the kitchen; that fucker sucked me right in. So I ended up watching every Elm St that came out, because not only were they scary as hell, they were also rivetting, engaging, and even pretty damn funny in some ways. Wes Craven knows his shit! My favorite was the one that was Freddy vs. Jason. :D

That's my opinion as well; although I have seen "FX" several times, and my ex even got me to watch DePalma's Dressed to Kill, doing slow-mo thru the elevator murder of Angie Dickinson to illustrate the artistry of it -- you see one actual cut, across her palm, and all the rest is stop-motion of blood flying and screaming -- most gorefest movies are NOT that well done, and they just sicken me. And I HATE movies that are primarily "psychological terror" because I'm wound too tight already, I don't need anything to make my anxiety worse.

Dang - most 33-year olds look like kids to me - not this dude

My son is 30, and looks like a 20 yr old who's losing his hair. :giggle: If he shaves off his goatee (which he does, occasionally), to me he still looks like he's about 15... and losing his hair. :giggle:

That he does. Oddly not sure I got to see the Jason vs. Freddy one or series. I think by then the plotting had got a bit "jumped the shark" for me. That and it was about the time my Pap & uncle Buddy had me going to visit and take stuff on for the airborne Sgt.. He had me going here & there, doing a lot of nothing, this & that. Think most of it was just favors he was doing for old buds. I didn't mind, just a fair lesson in discipline & good ethics.

And I HATE movies that are primarily "psychological terror" because I'm wound too tight already, I don't need anything to make my anxiety worse.
That damn Identy one ... :gaah::cuss2:. It was allegedly a psycho thriller. The writer's fucked the pooch with it though. "Maybe it's got something to do with the Indian burial grounds?" * not even crickets chirping, pure silence for a good long beat * Then my wife had to really scare me, we watched Ghost Ship which had to replay a steel line cutting through folks out on the party / dance floor deck, not once but twice. I had nightmares for two weeks like I did in boot camp from seeing them cut dummies up with steel line on ships. *shudders*

I agree with you. I kind of have a feeling of contention over the term liberalism but not as you use it here. I'm thinking about the old school liberalism of the liberal arts as taught in the trivium & quadrivium. That form of liberalism teaches one a very balanced world view, hopefully instills critical thinking and a pinch of uncommon common sense. The contention I feel is how this has came to be dragged through the muck with the other kind of liberalism which has brought us to ruin. It's similar to how everyone jumped on the bandwagon of that term New World Order when in fact it was same old, Old World Order of aristocrats & oligarchs being tyrants. And those are who have used liberalism to divide the house that stands on its own, they also belong to pharisee class of people who are nothing but parasites. Nah, I wasn't paying attention at all. :p

California is a shining example of why liberalism/socialism will never ever work.

Well, I think if used liberal education to define some form of truly democratic governing we might have half a chance of it working. But, and as Benjamin Franklin was aware you need the citizens to keep money and power out of it so as to hold fast to it. Once those two evils befall democracy, you've lost any hope. We thought we had that here in America, but they brought in the Federal system and later on centralized banking and fiat currency. The People lost both power and money, stolen outright by fraud. Ooops, damn it there I go again making sense or adding two plus two.

Well, my big toe hurts a little less today& just took another naproxin. I'm thinking the osteoarthritis but the witch keeps on "might be gout". I laughed at her and replied back, "it's a tumor". This evening she read off about six guys with last name 'o Grimm who have an aluminum recycling plant in Millwood. She told I couldn't work there, the Grimm's would take one look at me and fit me with a silver bullet. I just nodded and grunted.

Have a little music to sleep by, and meditate to or just use as some pleasant background. Always get reminded of shearing sheep listening to classical stuff. I helped on a couple different farms a few times. Seems the sheep love classical. :)

You nailed it, about how the word "liberal" has been misappropriated -- but ain't that the trouble with folk like those so-called "liberals" in CA -- they ALWAYS take what isn't theirs, such as MONEY, while pretending it's for some noble purpose, such as "feeding the poor", when in reality, it's (in CA) "so rich people can have swimming pools and green grass in a desert". And that's exactly why states with a preponderance of those greedy nimrods hate vaping so much -- those rich folks depend on that tobacco money, and to hell with those who die of tobacco use, while all those "liberals" can run around demonizing, ostracizing, and extorting smokers (and now vapers).

Monsieur Guillotin had an excellent idea of what to do with those idiots.

The term "liberal" doesnt hold anywhere near its true meaning. Today its just refers to a Democrat and they are extreme socialist and plain fuckin evil.

Monsieur Guillotin had an excellent idea of what to do with those idiots.

Heads shall roll. I believe it was Virginia's motto and emblazoned on its flag, "Sic Semper Tyranis." The flag pictured a spartan wearing a "Free Man"'s cap, foot upon a torso of a beheaded body. The head off to one side wearing a crown, the spartan holding a bloodied sword in hand. "Thus Always to Tyrants" is what the motto comes to in modern English.

I think now they use Monsieur's invention to make salads. Maybe the Yellow Vests in France need a reminder of its use? Maybe we all do. It would beat trying to always ensure you had thirteen twists in your noose loop. Yes it's thirteen to do it proper, that's what is required to evenly snap the upper spine and to kill humanely. If you twist the working end around to the front of the subject, they get strangled but the spine doesn't snap. They can dance a ballet all day and night until they die. After Nuremberg trials the British Commandos told how some of the worst Nazi subjects had the noose slip (oops) around to the front, just to ensure they had a nice ride to Hell. The hangings were public in Spandu, Germany, that's where the Pop group Spandu Ballet got their name from. Their pop music is quite light and upbeat, such lovely irony. Yes, these are bits of morbidity I've familiarized myself to knowing. Why? Well, why not?

Sometimes I perhaps might should wonder about myself, then I realize there is no self. :) The voices all smile and tell me I'm doing fine. ;)

The term "liberal" doesnt hold anywhere near its true meaning. Today its just refers to a Democrat and they are extreme socialist and plain fuckin evil.

The term pizza also no longer holds its true meaning. Found it weird but someone put an olive slice on a cracker, handed it to me and called it pizza. I fell to pieces and cried for three days. My wife then brought in a real pizza for supper. We both enjoyed a full sized 16" dough based pie with sausage, pepperoni, cheese. She promises I will never see the cracker person again. ( Innocently musing, "not sure why I'll never see them again but so she says and if she sews it up, I know it's true.")

You're correct though liberal has lost its meaning. I might say it represents all politicians now, no matter their seeming party labels. Yes, they promote socialism in a degree and form that defines it as evil. I think as perhaps the Constitution for The United States for America (1) defined the government as established to ensure the common welfare of all who are American, that form of socialism could work. The caveat being though, we take away money and power from government. Sorry, I'm not seeing that happen any time soon. Those what done stole it away, got it, intend to keep it. I'm kind of tired of using pussy footing names, let's call spades spades may we? Let's eject the pharisees from our society wholly and never give them an in again. Fuck the pharisees! Unfuck the pharisees! Remember we only fuck those we love, those we hate aren't worth a fuck, so we unfuck them. :)

1. (Please note that title and its wording, that is the proper way it ought to be written, spoken about, transmitted. Using the word Of in any of it, voids it all and makes it corporate which is a false entity. It is a dead entity and not living flesh, therefore those using it practice necromancy. America is a living nation of her living People who are Sovereigns. That is based upon the Tenth Amendment which grants rights not licensed by the states or nation to the People. We did not grant license to any state or our nation to sovereignty. We do not have a King or Queen, ergo we the People can be these. And this exactly is the grand experiment that the United States for America is, was, ever shall be. Our government lets us each be our own King, or Queen. We honor our social contract of fraternity though and live together keeping the peace as defined under Common Law or also know as Law of the Land.) Yes, quite familiar with this as well and have done some research, talking with various folk what know the Constitution and other various founding documents, history. I'm assured I'm correct in at least the basic facts here, if not the practice of them.

Apologies if this somewhat paints me akin to the now late Charles Manson, whom also advocated getting rid of the wealthy parasites. Unlike him though I'm not against someone earning a fortune of good labor and good will, in good faith. I know it can be done. I know it requires work. Not against that and not begrudging anyone enjoying their wealth gained as such. Pharisees though produce nothing, offer no services, only seek ways to defraud, steal from others.

No, I'm no know it all and don't mean to have that inferred in my writing. I can say I do not know about a lot. I'm also not afraid to not know. In fact I often prefer not knowing as my mind gets too damn full at times. -- "Hey! Wait! Don't pick up the ph{#`%${%&`+'${`%&NO CARRIER" ---
