    :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

    Once again a study surfaces that proves that a stimulant has stimulating properties.

    Nothing new here folks.

    This study is repeated around once a year and allows tobacco control to deceive the public into believing that their magic NRT nicotine is 100% totally safe but somehow the nicotine used in vaping (which comes from the exact same sources) is somehow the spawn of Satan and worse then shooting dope.

    Jogging, drinking coffee or soda, exercise, watching sports, sex, etc... all has the exact same outcome in the short term as nicotine use.

    No one is telling us to avoid any of that stuff - 5150

    "E-Cigarettes Containing Nicotine Linked to Increased Risk of Quitting Smoking"

    And the plain fact is that I'd FAR rather die of a fast heart attack or stroke than waste away by inches with lung cancer. They seem to be completely unaware of the fact that EVERYONE is gonna die of something. Life on planet Earth is hazardous to your health, and the leading cause of death is LIFE.

    No doubt about that. I watched my mother die of cervical cancer. It took 10 months, the last 2 in a hospital. By the end I begged her to let go. I will never let my children experience that. I want to go fast, like Elvis.

    With my dad, it was small cell lung cancer, the kind that smokers usually get, and it's fast compared to a lot of other cancers, but still too damn slow. I want an instant, maybe a minute of pain, then outta here. None of that laying around in a hospital being persecuted by nurses and phlebotomists for me, no way, no how, no sir. My mom was diabetes, the last 3 days of which was totally insensible in the ICU, but before that, it was years of pain and suffering. Just wretched. If nicotine can spare me that, then I may go up to about 36mg. :giggle:

    I got a lecture from a lady at work once. She'd been talking with some guys who come into the restaurant every morning that run a tourist attraction called "Goats On the Roof." They actually have goats on the roof of the place, as well as rides and a high dollar tourist trap gift shop, typical stuff for this area. Anyhow, one of these guys had told her you're better off smoking and listed a few bullshit reasons, which she felt compelled to pass on to me, one of them to let me know that nicotine was a vasoconstrictor that could very well close off the blood flow to my heart. There were many other "pearls of wisdom" in that conversation, very entertaining. But what ended up happening after I listened to her drivel was me telling her that as appreciative as I was of Ross (owner of GOTR) taking time out from raising goats to get his medical degree, I had done some pretty intense research on my own into this subject for nearly three years. I also felt obliged to let her know that those OTC stackers she swallowed by the handfuls every morning to get through the work day were vasoconstrictors as well, and the gallon of sweet tea she washed them down with wasn't doing her any favors. The rest of it was basically me conveying the Reader's Digest version of exactly what vaping is/does and yada yada, and about the research and findings of the Royal College of Physicians. It ended with a blank, dullard look on her face and a smile on mine.
    A week later she bought a mod and a tank from me. :D

    Good for you!

    As any one who has taught knows, if you change only one person's life in your career, you've been successful.
