My review of the FlavoTank ceramic head sub ohm atomizer tank:
OCC Head
-bare inner coil encourages spit back
-small diameter airhole in base of head
-wicking not great
-hard time wicking even 60% PG juice. 100% VG juice should be used when subohming, and no sub ohm tank can handle it!
airflow ring
-only one air hole open
-settings click out of place easy
-to tall to be astetically pleasing
tank
-rewetting wick dry pulls while mostly covering
airhole puts juice in mouth
-hole for driptip to big, drip tip "wobbles"
-won't wick if there is less than .8mls in tank.
-Cannot drain whole tank by vaping
experience
its kind of good, it has its momments. the ceramic wick head has a unique flavor experience
Ceramic Head
-takes awhile for wick to saturate (suggest 1 hour) or submerging head in PG
-can't blow through mouth peice and cover airhole to saturate wick, juice comes out through bottom seam of tank
-2nd time I put head on base I heard an audible "snap" which i know from experience with gennies that that was the sound of the ceramic wick breaking (no difference in performance though) but, ceramic wick is brittle.
-ceramic just doesn't wick fast enough to keep up with a sub ohm coil. especially since its not very pourous its solid without air pockets
-wick goes dry after 2-3 hits, not enough wick material, maybe if there was a ceramic cup in the head to hold more juice.
Conclusion
-would not use this tank anymore after review period
-works better than atlantis
-no true subohm experience without rebuilding
Positives
-unscrews easily from device
-easy to open and close tank to refill
-ciramic wick imparts a different flavor experience and works well once broken in and coil is covered in a layer of carbon
-comes into its own after 3-4 days when heads have been broken in but on 5th day OCC head needs replacing from constant burnt flavor.
-much improved operation with an airflow driptip
drip tip itself wobbles in any atty, its not the tanks fault.
