I'd say about an hour. The best thing to do is give it an acetone bath. This gets rid of the excess salt, while leaving the patina intact. You can do it under a light stream of water, but it will wash out some of the patina. If you didn't sprinkle with salt, then just sand and or rinse to get your desired effect, let it dry (if necessary) again, then give it 2 light clear coats. Let it cure, sand again, then a heavier clear cot. Let that one cure, then sand/polish.

Do you have high grit polishing paper/cloths? Use 6,000-12,000 for the best gloss possible.

Your base looks great - I think you'll be happy with the end result.

Dude, I don't mind helping, but I don't have time to be your source. The Facebook group is a great place with lots of information. It's free. Also look at YouTube. There's a lot more out there than I can possibly offer you.

Gonna let it finish drying then give it an acetone bath. I'm hoping to keep about half the blue. We'll see in a couple hours.

Not too happy with it with the clear coats. I'll probably sand it down and do it over. First I'll see what it looks like all put together. The colder weather seems to be having a negative (to me) effect on the aesthetics of the patina process.

It came out okay, just not what I was hoping for. These things can be hit or miss sometimes.

Man, I can't wait until spring. Can't really patina outside when it's 22° outside.
