My main problem with the libertarian party platform is that they would turn business loose with no constraints.
And as history has proven time and again business will NOT regulate itself for the good of the people or country until it has caused a lot of trouble.

i'm not sure the platform says that.
as far as i can tell, corporations n their purchased congressmen already run the govt.
mostly, what i read is individual liberties should be protected.

i was libertarian before i ever heard the word.

Ohh I am all for individual liberties as long as your individual liberties do not infringe on someone elses.
Like religion, worship as you want but do not force your religion on me thru laws and such.
I am against Sharia law I am also against Christian law, Jewish law, etc.

And the trend of making business men into politicians isn’t a great idea either, imho. It sounds good on paper, but someone like Bloomberg was one of the most restrictive horrible mayors NYC had, imho

Ahh it seems that most humans seem to kinda worship those with money and business power.
has been that way pretty much all thru history.

    Me not so much.

there is no other party defending my freedoms.
dems always want to tell me what to do.
reps claim they do, but the religious right
is big onn deciding what i should do with my body.

everyone thinks they know best about my personal decisions.

    let me rattle some cages.
i see no difference between sharia terrorists n the religious right.
they both claim rights over my body.

Ohh there are differences. However there are lots of similarities as well.
Religious competition has been used in wars throughout history.
Even within the same religious group. different sects of a religion...

The old everyone else is wrong unless they agree with me thing in politics, religion, etc.

Yep. Look at the Civil War in England. They were all Christians.

The right just wants to protect the actual baby.
The left just wants to siphon tax dollars and sell baby parts.

The new super late-term abortions are &#*%ing baby murder.

i can not defend late term abortion.
the thing is, it's a foot in the door for the religious lunatics
who will never rest until all abortion is banned.
just give us a guarantee of doing what we want for the first few months
n we could surrender the late term thing.
    but, no one will compromise.

Many seem to defend post term abortions if they are a different religion or even skintone.
I recall hearing "just nuke em all and let god sort em out' Quite a bit several years back.
Even now it is just collateral damage...

well, there is something to be said for free abortions for welfare recipients of any race.
in fact, mandatory abortions for those who wish to continue receiving unearned benefits
    has an appeal too.
back in ny, i knew people who had 6 children who hadn't worked a day in their life.
    never married either.
i had to support those people
if anti abortionists were ethical, they would support those kids themselves, but i don't see them lining up to take drug addicted babies.
