So I showed off my coils the other day... on here... and I think I'm reaching the life span on them.

I have dual parallels (nichrome) wrapped 6 times, but all of a sudden today my voltage and ohms have been jumping around. I've checked and rechecked my screws in the posts. They're fine.

Any thoughts

Thats why i like kanthal. I recoil for fun not cause i have to. Ive had builds i really like last almost a year on just cleaning and rewicking.

Oh, suggestion, remove wicking material and dry burn. Examine thoroughly for hot spots/legs and even burn from the middle.
If it all checks out and problem persists, toss them and rebuild.
