they had to start from some where most where MTL style back then. it was drippers and cloud chasing that started sub ohm tanks

I don’t know that primitive is an accurate way to describe it. They really changed the game for vaping back then. They’ve mire or less evolved into the nautilus and sybohm tanks. The aspire nautilus is still one of the best tools for mtl vaping out there. Especially for the smoker looking to transition.

I remember the old tiny 510 dripping atomizers thy only took one drip.
Pretty sure the old b&m I went to when I started had ego drippers too.
I still have an old smok cartoonists from back then too. Damn did those suck!
Vaping was a different thing back in those days.

If you mean the Nautilus Mini it was my go to tank for years and still have 3 of them. Is more of a restricted draw but was my all day tank. Now I have switched to TC and wide bore DT for my vaping.
I still have a few of the 808 bridgeless atomizers
ahh but I used tiny clearos on 808 stick batteries.
Better than cartos.
here are some of them with some 808 threaded Ego style batteries.
would get me thru a days vaping.
They are the size of an old cartomizer.
About the size of a cigarette filter.
The ones I have are 510 male threaded and will work on modern mods.
At maybe 6-7 watts max?
the 808 ones are likely female threaded.
And 510 and 808 threads are not compatible.
although I think I have an adapter or two...

i was a carto man using a carto tank with a self punched carto using a ice maker install valve before that i went thur a hell of alot of janty, DSE,salibro you name it's. 306,410,801,808 you name it i had all the adapters back then
Do they even make carto tanks anymore?
I skipped those and went to Clearomizers.

I’ve seen some rebuildables laying about. Also some of the cigalikes are still cartos. I’ve used them but like you started with a clearo. I jumped to kayfuns and rebuildbles really quick though.
I started with cartomizers, but skipped carto tanks.
Tanks with a cartomizer in them. Fun to fill from what I learned.

Lol, my buddy, from the provarinati club warned me to stay away and get an rta or gennie
I also avoided the gennie atomizers.
The rolling mesh and flaming it just did not appeal to me.
And wrapping a bare wire around SS mesh just seemed wrong somehow.
but I guess as long as it was on a mech mod with trustfire batteries it would turn out fine?

I like the way gennies vaped. My big problem with them was leaking in my lap.

carto tank done right never leaked lasted two weeks but i skipped over genny's and clearo's and went rda for a while took a break about a 6 months came back to full box mods and gen1 squanking with a carlos juice box, full RDA use for a short while took about a year off came back to tfv4 on and off since last break i went from tfv4 to a v8 now full mesh tanks yummy.
my vape cycle went something like this Cigalikes>pen types>Egos and adapters with carts and attys & Customs mod> Carto tanks on a provari which i piffed long ago>RDA on a mech>random on a regulated mod (dna40)> DL tanks on a box mod sub 100 watts> full 100watt boxes and various tanks > mesh tanks.
i have ordered from the likes of janty and joytech, alt smoke and provape, alot i forgot some ECF members for custom box mods (5v boosted cart mods powered by a 14500) which either are dead or piffed stuff like that..
when i first covered it was hard as hell to find a flavor (RY3,RY4) i like let alone a nic strength that worked and back then they where high pg. thorat hit city and MTL designed. the industry improved by leads and bounds back then i spent something like 1000 find something that worked now its less then 100 to do the same. with or without a MTL tank....
Today i prefer DL mesh tanks like the Mesh pro, Crown 4 Mesh coil, alpha tank with the single coil, waiting on a falcon king i went from tobacco to candy to savor to anything besides mint,tobacco today.
Mods i like tend to be dual battery with a good chipset dna250c or workhorses Aegis legend limited , i also still have a few triple 18650 box mods and clones
