For you mod makers out there, I build quite a few mods myself and I have been using a tron switch in them. I want to go to a very low profile Stainless steel button much like the tron with out any led in it. I have seen tons of mods with this type of switch but I can't seen to find them aanywhere. If you have a line on them please let me know. I have 5 mods ready to complete waiting to try and find the right switch.

Thanks in advance

Try one of the E-Switch's the ones I saw are only rated for 2 amps.
They have several styles. Heres a link to a Digikey search: http://***********/q66u8eo

A quick search turns up a few here. If the link doesn't show up search anti-vandal switch on eBay.

If I could find a place to buy the box & stuff I can get the board @ Fast Tech. I have looked for months, can't find anything.

Hammond 1590g, or whatever in the 1590 series that fits your needs is not good enough? I'm a newbie too. Getting it together though. The boxes can be found everywhere.

Fasttech has the the DNA 30 clone: http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10007864/1735401-hana-modz-pack-dna-20-style-mod-vw-modules

Browsing for other electronic components can be a daunting task for sure.

If you know the part number Octpart is a good search resource: http://octopart.com/

Here are a few links

Mouser: http://www.mouser.com/

Have you used the fasttech DNA? Is it any good? The DNA30 is cheaper than the 20.

I have 2 waiting in the wings.
Waiting to see if these Hana clones issues resolve with a cause before I commit to building it.

Big thanks to all! Ya know life is a bitch. When I was young I saw all the pretty stuff I didn't have the money to have, now I have the money and can't find what I want. I suspect my ex wife has something to do with it. :p

Ok, what issues are they having? I have one. Don't want to waste it.
Fire!.. in the hana clones or just blowin' out chips. It seems that the issues right now are more about the 510 connector and general internal circuit isolation (loose parts or wires touching) than anything else. I'll wait a little longer to see where these issues go before I build them.

There are 3 issues with the clones...

1. Positive post in 510 is very wide. Atomizer with a positive post that sits flush with the threads may cause a short, and may be bad. It's pretty easy to replace it with something like the positive post from an ego-510 adaptor, and most of the newer runs have this fixed from the manufacturer.

2. The leads coming from the battery sled are generally not insulated (no Kapton tape or hot glue) which can lead to a short on the aluminum casing. 2 little pieces of tape fixes that.

3. They say they can fire down to 0.3 ohms, which is true, but you won't do it more than a couple times as the board will over heat, but there is no reason to sub-ohm on a DNA device given the power output.

Other than that, they are damn nice for a complete mod for the price of a legit board alone.

So if you build the box yourself, and keep your coils above say, .5ohms you should be ok then? This will be my first, so I purchased this chip as a primer before I build some better stuff. Been doing some research and I think I'm ready. Hopefully this will be doable for me because I used to solder for a living.

Yes. The soldering part is cake. The hardest part with the DNA builds is the screen placement. The glass screen and the ribbon cable attaching it to the board are very fragile. The best thing you can do for that is to use or make a screen cradle that will protect it, and add a little reinforcement to the ribbon cable (a little Kapton tape works well). I highly recommend the Mamu screen cradle made by Bapgood (look on Shape ways.com) as they are durable, any color/material you like and the perfect size. Good luck, and if you have any other questions let me know.
