i got a bonza rda and a drop rda. I can’t figure out what build or how many wraps to make to use as dual coil. I been trying 5 wraps and it ohms out at .15. I’m using the Vandy Vape spool. Oh and I’m using the voopoo drag mod

I’m downloading the coil builder for my iPhone. I’m not sure what ohms. I just feel like the rda maybe better with dual coil. I bought the spool and only seem to build .15 ohms for some reason.

I’ll check it out but seems faster and easier from experts. I tried making a 6 wrap dual and it said ohms was to low.

Stainless steel takes a lot of wraps.. I think 10 raps will be way too much on that and it'll bring you to wear or less you want to be

Exactly..go 7...wrap on a 3 or 3.5 and try it..its regulates so u should be ok...i try to use only ni80

Vape tool is what I use as well. The only issue I have is with twisted wire. And I'm sure it's just me and getting pitch wrong.

Yeah it’s mind boggling. I went off a you tubers purchase. But he didn’t show his build. That’s a combo of three types of wires in one. I’m guessing.

Try 6 or 7 wraps around a 3mm or 3.5mm diameter coil rod

Try 6 wraps around a 3mm diameter coil rod, but even 5 wraps dual coil will be high enough resistance to fire on a Drag I believe

.15 for one coil. I tried 6 wraps and ohm came out to low to read.

That's the weird chinese way of measuring flat/ribbon wire

26g is 0.4 mm
18g is. 1 mm

So it's 1x.4 mm flat ribbon claptoned in 32

I thought the Drag can fire down to .05 - you may have a short (coils touching sides or top of the RDA) if your single coil is .15 ohms, because half that is .075 ohms which should fire

26g is 0.4 mm
18g is. 1 mm

So it's 1x.4 mm flat ribbon claptoned in 32

I thought the Drag can fire down to .05 - you may have a short (coils touching sides or top of the RDA) if your single coil is .15 ohms, because half that is .075 ohms which should fire

Your wire has a very low resistance, I'd recommend n80 (nichrome) or kanthal, and recommend fused claptons (two round cores, reads like 2x28 or 3x28, etc) rather than claptoned ribbon

Negative, dual coils will half your resistance. Here looky

It could be actually half the size of each dual coil and come out to the same resistance as such a dual coil build - two coils cuts resistance in half of what one coil would be

Is that before you ever heat up the coil? It will probably go up a bit after you heat it and work out the hot spots

.08 is still okay for the Drag, though

I heat the coil up and it goes up to 21 and back down to 16

That's how SS works. Some people don't like it for TC because of that reason

Well, like I said anyway, 0.08 ohms will work okay on the Drag (and safe yes, it'll cut your voltage before it would be bad for your batteries)
