I was going for a blueberry crisp, or crumble. This is good straight away.

1.5% LA Vanilla Butternut
.75% FA Caramel
1.5% FA Cinnamon Ceylon
2% FA Bilberry
.5% FA Fuji
.25% FA Cookie

The Fuji brightens the whole thing up, without giving it an apple taste.

I'd like to hear your description of that Vanilla Butternut flavoring, if you have the time.

Vanilla Butternut. Hard to describe. It has a round vanilla flavor. It just seems to add that backend of body. Vanilla Butternut may contain acetyl propionyl, but I use a very small percentage, and I'm willing to take my chances. I'm not sure what you'd replace it with, so it stays.

use it in high percentages, the nut does come out better..

Is it nutty and buttery vanilla? Or is that vanilla with butternut like the squash?

I get more of a nut as the nut end..
butternuttish.. not like the squash.. more of a sweet.. think that was at 10%.. will have to comb thru my recipes..
i used it mainly to calm a high powered tobacco down, way back when.. maybe this time last year..

quick search.. yes 10%.. did not take it higher than that..

This. I also use in my "i'ernwood" recipe - to calm down the mild black and red oak flavors. Does WONDERS.
