    That's AWESOME!

Thanks for sharing, and also including those great photos :)

I am so happy for you :stars2: and hope that you truly enjoy that setup.

I am very pleased with my SXK DNA60 clone now, and so much so that I've been thinking about selling off all my other regulated mods and tanks, so that I can fund another BB clone, maybe the new one with the USB port with the funky colors.

Still trying to figure out if I'd want to do this...but I love the form-factor, hand-feel, and the performance of the BB, as well as all of the modular options to customize your vape experience...

Well you know the "3-2-1 Backup Rule" dont you?

With anything mechanical or electronic, including hard drives and other data storage, but also applied to our vape devices, many of them made in China...

3 is 2, when the first device fails
2 is 1, when the second device fails
1 is none, when the last device fails

Even if well-taken care of, everything mechanical or electronic is subject not to IF, but WHEN it will fail. These days lots of stuff is designed to have a limited service life, some say even a conspiracy for planned-obsolescence so they can sell you new crap, that will also eventually fail...

My own experience and the wisdom of other folks has taught me to always have backups, of both 'things' and of 'plans' if you want to avoid inconvenience and/or hassles.

Troy Plugs which plug into the bottom of a Boro to channel said AF... Troy makes them in various degrees of AF restrictiveness, secondary function of them is to soak up condensation.

I just got my FT coils (EUC). These 1.4 ohm will fit the MF bridge, it seems the cockeyed mother lover on ebay sent the wrong 1.4 ohm coils. In any case, these should work.....off to order several more packs.....

I've been vaping on this cCell for a few hours now and while the airflow is great with Troy's plug installed it seems that it might require more power than the airflow that I want can handle. Wonder if I might be better off with the Nautilus bridge and coils for my MTL pleasure

If you plan on ordering the Comfort bridge from Greece to use with the Nautilus coil, you might as well consider the MF bridge kit. It is more expensive but it is more versatile and the wait time is about the same.

I have a Nautilus bridge that came with the YFTK clone I just got so I'll give those a go first. If I like it I'll see if I can get another second hand.

I am also looking into Nautilus coils as well. Not sure which to try, and mostly looking for the 0.7 and 0.9 Ohm versions, but need to find specs for the inner diameter of the vertical coil, since if the diameter is too small (less than ~3mm) it will be too tight for me as a restricted DTL.

I found that the Aspire Triton 0.5 Ohm clapton coils to:

    1. have way too much air flow for restricted DTL, even with one of Troy's @troydestroy DryPlugs
    2. require ~30-35w to start getting a decent vape, and at that level the tank glass is almost too hot to touch and the body of the BB, battery and panels are warm/hot enough to cause concern

Seems to me that coil heads with more mass (claptons), that require more power to energize them enough to create a satisfying vape, are pushing into the danger zone here...

Having said that, the above mentioned Triton clapton coil produces massive, dense clouds, more than one might think from the BB, and can easily fog a room in a few puffs...

I may strip apart one of the Triton claptons and rebuild it to see if I can make it work for me, and if so that might be the way to go for the short term unless I can find the other Nautilus coils cheap enough (less than $10 shipped for the 5-pack) without having to buy from China and waiting...

I vape the .9's at 19w. But I'm not trying to MTL those...do like them though with the Tweakings in semi restricted; mimics the NarDa AF ( Not exactly but close )

What's the story with the Kanger OCC coils in a BB? As mentioned previously I vaped a Subtank for quite some time with the SSOCC coils in it. 20-25W and it was a pretty ok vape. Don't see much mention of them in this thread.

I never really considered the heat aspect of a BB. The Aspire Atlantis EVO coils really didn't come to life till around 30-35w.

Man trying to navigate the listings for the Nautilus coils is dicey at best. Most of them seem to be the cotton wick. I've been trying to find the ceramic ones and I have to message the sellers. Not confident they'll know the difference.

Not to be lazy, but can you share a link to an item on eBay that you liked and had success with (even if expired, it will show the seller as well).

if you can share the link, it will save me lots of time wading through all the listings, as well as potential aggravation if the seller is not dodgy.

    THANKS! :)

The Kanger SSOCC coil heads work fine in the BB with the SXK supplied Kanger bridge, and can be had cheap in the 5-packs for the Authentic Kanger and not 'Replacement' Kanger coil heads for $8 from FT.

Just search for authentic ssocc and you will see them easily.

The 0.5 Ohm and 1.2 Ohm coil heads are made of Nicrhome N80 wire IIRC, and vape well and no dry hits.

I just grabbed 3x 5-packs of the 1.2 Ohm coil heads from a local B&M during their Memorial Day sale, but the draw is more restricted than I would like. The air flow is limited by the inner diameter of the vertical coil, and is only like 2mm wide. I have stripped and rebuilt one of them with a 0.9 Ohm vertical coil with 7 wraps of 25g Kanthal and it vapes really nice @ 20-22w.

I wish Kanger coil heads came with a wider inner diameter and less restricted flow on the 1.2 ohm coil heads. The 0.5 Ohm coil heads are much airier and have ~3mm inner diameter of the coil and work better ~27w, and I found that the body of the BB gets warm enough to cause concern if you go up ~35w on these coils, but no dry hits there.

I forgot to say that I've been using these Kanger SSOCC coil heads since the start of my vape journey back in Jan 2016, first with a SUBVOD kit that had the TopTank Nano, and then later with the TopTank Mini kit that had the TopTank Mini.

I used these coil heads exclusively for about 6 months until I bought my first RDA, which was a Tobeco clone of the OG Velocity.

Also, my first experience rebuilding was on the Kanger RBA head that was included with the TopTank Mini, and had no issues with that once I learned how to wick it properly (Troll Doll hair method, with as little cotton as possible on the ends when trimming to the top of the barrel).

I am thankful for the early experience with the OG Kanger RBA head, since most of the RBA attys for the BB are similar enough to be pretty easy for me to build, and I can figure out the wicking after maybe 2-3 tries (save for the VapeShell, which still gives me dry hits)...

    Hope this helps! :)

FYI - just now, I stripped down and rebuilt the Aspire Triton 0.5 Ohm Clapton coil head.

I rebuilt it as a 3.5mm ID vertical coil, with 8x 1mm-spaced wraps of 28g SS316L, aiming for 0.95 Ohms, but when installed came out to 1.27 Ohms. Oh well! I use just enough cotton for 1.5 wraps around the coil, from Native Wicks Platinum Blend, and I left inside the coil head the cotton squares that are inserted inside of a sort of sleeve as they cover the juice holes of the coil.

With Troy's RDTL DryPlug to compensate for the massive air holes in the positive pin of the coil head, it vapes really nice in TC mode @ 24w & 420F and no dry hits. In wattage mode @ 24w, the body of the mod gets a little too warm for comfort.

Next one of these I rebuild will likely be with 6-7 wraps of 26g Kanthal in order to use less power, maybe 0.9 Ohms @ 19w or thereabouts.

Of course, this coil head will only work in the A-tank. So keep that in mind. :)

Ordered some cheapo panels from Ft last night. Just didn't have enough for some good ones from Troy. But had 20 to blow so why not right. Lol. Hopefully they'll look decent with the dober and brass jmk accessories.[IMG]

Woof. I have nothing on the horizon for vapemail save for a Basic 1.1 cap set and the replacement tip from Piss DillTard... feels kind of good.

I think I'm good for the year outside of DIY juice supplies and Nautilus coils. Maybe a a JMK tip/button set for my new BB clone. Really happy with my setups right now and don't feel the need for anything else for a while. Besides, gotta start saving for vacation in November!

You know I was worried that would happen! I haven't had it happen to me yet somehow.

The insert must be making contact with the positive block or your coil. Sorry man, I recommended it bc it didn't happen on my Exocet

Check the "510" in the BB for possible juice, wipe it clean, tighten the nut a bit more so the bridge makes a clean, full contact. The first time I used the TP (TroyPlug :teehee:) I noticed the tank was sitting a hair high. By tightening the nut, it will push the tank/bridge assembly down. That's all I got:cheers:
