Speaking of panels and magnets, I have a panel that "rocks" in one of my SXKBBs. Not as in looks great, but that makes a noise because it doesn't fit tight on all 4 magnets. I've switched panels between the 2 BBs I have and it's the BB, not the panel. Took the battery out and same thing. I can rock the top left and lower right back and forth and it makes a clicking sound. If I hold one corner in and tap the other it's pretty tight.

Anyone else have this? Not sure I want to try messing with the magnets to fix this.

Sounds to me like you're getting a more intense vape than you're used to compared to stock coils. The good news is that you can easily remedy that by using stock coils in your BB. The SXK bridge for EUC Drizzle coils works really well and is cheap... you should already have a Nautilus coil bridge. Those are pretty good too.

i thought you were smok'n krak when you first said this. but sure enough, they are diffferent. that is some odd shit right there.
i mean, the doors can only go on "1 way" regardless of magnets. so why would they make it so magnets also make it only go on one way .

the reason i said to mark the magnets on the side they touch each other = the ink "may" interfere with the glue.

I had that problem with an SXK BB I used to have. Never with an authentic though.

Never tried to fix it, just played with it a lot lol.

Good point. Forgot I didn't have to use an RBA to get what I'm looking for. o_O I've got a couple extra Boro tanks so I can switch and try some options. Thanks.

I'll tell you what though: that's one of the biggest differences between the SXK and the authentic. Fit and finish, how it feels in hand, and the quality of the anodizing.

Not shitting on the clone by any means. I had a few and really enjoyed them, but I'd trade all those clones for one authentic easily just bc of the quality difference.

Of course! RBAs will definitely take the juice you've been using in stock coils and magnify everything about them including throat hit and nic delivery.
Let us know how you make out!

Totally get that, and felt like I needed to try the clones at 1/3 the price to see what this was all about. Still evaluating but may end up with an authentic.

My doors only rocked when I had the battery ribbon in because it was a pain to get the battery out without it. Since I loosened up the negative contact and don't need the ribbon, they actually don't rock anymore.

EDIT: Actually one other thing. I did notice that if the boro was not 100% against the back of the well, I would get slight rocking too. That happened a few times too. I loosened the key and tightened it back up and it went away.

Oh yeah that's definitely the way to go. You still get to see if they suit you and the way you like to vape without dropping damn near $300

I have no doubt that the authentics are better quality than the SXK clones. At least I HOPE so :) For me personally, the killer is the denial of access to Escribe. if I could get an authentic for the same price as the clone, I'd still take the clone for that reason. In fact, I may be willing to pay a little more.

I understand that DNA boards are more accurate than other boards, even in wattage mode. However, they are not better enough in wattage mode to make them worth the extra money in my very humble opinion. Find a sweet spot in just about any passably decent midrange board and I doubt anybody could REALLY tell the difference. Evolv is about TC (and now replay) and Escribe, and was about TC even before Escribe.

If I ran BBV, which obviously will never happen:D , my first order of business would be to provide USB access forthwith and watch sales skyrocket even more. Whatever anybody wants to think about SXK, they are making a mint off of BB clones. They are getting almost as hard to find as the authentics. Yes, price and the "good enough" quality factor are the main reason, but I know that having that USB port is a deal sweetener that very much helps some people make their buying decision. I've seen some of them say so.

I thought it was very smart of SXK to add that USB port... so many high end mods using DNA boards don't have them and for the money, they should! The only reason I wanted it the SXK was to flip the screen! Drove me nuts! Hahaha

That said, there are a couple folks making dongles to attach the BB to Escribe. Only issue is that you have to removed the inner button panel. What a PITA!

Theres also a guy on FB, Elemental Cerakote, who's modding BBs to have a USB port on the side with a little cover. Pretty slick. If my BB ever gets beat up I'll probably get it cerakoted and have that USB installed. [IMG]

To me at least... the BB was originally made to be used with drop in coils, Kanger to be specific and they included the Kanger RBA later... TC wasn't in the minds of them at the time... just a well built AIO.

I do agree it would be nice to have a USB attached to the authentic, but their choice for using DNA chips was primarily for at the time, DNAs were the only ones available... Kangers boards were to big... Dicodes were to expensive and the importing to high.

Should they add them now? Sure... but in a business sense... makes no sense... the devices sell out regardless... plus you really only need to use escribe once... probably easier if they just loaded profiles, or asked Evolv to preload the basic metal profiles including titanium. But that cost will probably be passed down.

As for adding USB support... not hard... even utilizing a dongle just to load your own profiles... not that hard or expensive.

To me, its another leak point and something needing to be sealed.

Again, I think it would be nice to see Authentic ones with USB support, just don't think in the grand scheme its needed.

Not using the battery strap; I can slap the batteries out easily enough.

This is interesting, though, when checking whether the boro tank is causing this. As I said, removing the battery has no impact on this rocking. It rocks between upper left and lower right when boro tank is in. However, when I remove the boro tank, the rocking switches to the other opposite corners. The button panel doesn't rock at all.

It's not bad, I can live with it.

Man, Idk Shady, I thought I was good to go with the Mini Nautilus as a drop in, but this drizzle coil is really poppin some flavor. I'm gonna have to get both going with the same juice to do a comparison.

In my estimation, the 1.3 ohm Drizzle coil is worlds above the other drop in coils (Nautilus included). I did try the 1.4 ohm Drizzle coils too, it wasn't even close!

That's why it's the only coil head I'll use! The full size 0.5 ohm EUCs are supposed to be just as good but I don't DL much so I never tried them.

I didn't realize they made a 1.3 and 1.4. Why would they make two so close?

The 1.4 has cotton wick and is made with kanthal. They call it "traditional." The 1.3 is wicked with ceramic and I beoieve the wire is stainless steel.

The one from Gas City is the same one I posted from FT. You'd probably get it quicker from them haha!
IMO, the airflow is better with the MF Bridge than the SXK one. The SXK one offers these little black delrin AFC rings that fit over the pin on the coil heads. They work fine, but the MF Bridge has a delrin base that the coils fit into and it easier to use.
That being said, I use the SXK one because I also use a MTL DryPlug from @troydestroy at SSPP. It restricts the draw perfectly for me in combination with the SXK Bridge without using those little black rings.

Thanks. This sounds like the answer to my MTL with the 30mg salt nic I'm trying to use in the xeta. Appreciate the detailed response.

Just rewicked the xeta after over a weeks use. I'm shocked as to how little condensation there was. I had to turn the BB into the light just to see a tiny bit of juice. It definitely beats everything else I've used in that regard.

In other news, I might have to spend more money.

I am so happy I never got the modification bug with mods...

I got matching caps with squonkers, but not how extensive it can go with the BB.

I appreciate those that go all out and do their thing, I just look at those that spend more on accessories for a single BB and think...that could be another BB

    To each their own, truly.

I guess it’s growing up in a Filipino family that has me just despise gold accents

    Gold and Black furniture

    Mirrors everywhere

Wooden spoons and forks (ass whooping weapons to my mum) hanging on the walls

That giant gold sun dial clock

Plastic on the living room couches

    The list goes on

Wife has no input in our homes on design of furniture

I'm hoping BB users can throw some constructive criticism on a product I designed which has gone down like a lead balloon (sales = 0).
Tried selling on eBay & a British vaping forum.

I always have at least one BB on my coffee table and my OCD of not wanting to scuff the base brought me to design and 3D Print a display stand and went further by adding other holders, obviously I'm biased and love mine but it seems I am the only one.
I have done a dual and single stand.

So I could do with some brutally honest opinions please (I can take it as long as it's constructive) so I can either improve it or abandon it.

The only things I can think are:
It's something nobody 'needs'? (which I think is the main reason).
    Too busy?
    Plastic looks cheap?

Hopefully this doesn't come across as a sales pitch, I just want market research nothing more.

Looks to be a nice, quality, well thought out piece. I think the issue is that it's very niche. hobbyist vapers are already niche, BB owners even more so, and then BB owners that want a stand.
I love my BB but I don't need a stand specifically for one mod in my collection. It's not a bad idea but it's a very specific product for a very specific need. Just my two cents. I need a stand that holds a BB, mech mods, and atties.

i think they look great, really.

there are any number of reasons they are not selling, price, you didn't say, probably is the main one. as i don't see those being cheap. i am going to guess and say $50US, how close am i ? this alone makes them a niche market item = a shelf display, office desk, @robfisher . the way i display my mods, its literally like a parking lot, all the mods move around in the spaces. and i would guess most people are like me..... and there is, at least around here, something of a vape buying lull = shit is getting hard to sell.

so, i would say you just have to wait it out. make a few to have ready to ship, and have a custom order option ready to make them to whatever someone wants.

idk if you know, but i make vape stuff also, not for sale though. as no one would pay what it takes for me to make stuff. and i'm not interested in working for $3US an hour. so i just make the stuff for myself. as i am about the only one that appreciates it.

@Vapanzeezer Scrooge the only constructive criticism I can give is the drip tip holders won't work for tower type tips. they just need to be a hole on a FLAT surface.

Not a fan of it...to me it’s wasted money for display purposes and I don’t have the vanity bug to give this any consideration regardless of price point.

Additionally not disorganized enough to warrant this.

I also hate clutter, and if my BB was in use, what purpose does this serve besides being clutter on a desk or display area?

Hold a boro? Hold drip tips? Just not very practical over a drawer with organized slats.

Just my opinion, others see a use I see waste.

Perfect cross section of opinions thank you, I didn't mention the price as I more wanted to understand if it's something that was worth pursuing, I managed to keep the price under $25 as I make them more for allowing me to buy new filaments and make more things rather than a business.

Clutter wise, oddly enough it was the opposite for me, I made it more as an organiser rather than purely a display stand as my BB stuff was either stashed in boxes or laying around my build area but your point is exactly what I was after, my view on it is biased and sounds like a personal preference thing, though there's a useful point in there, I should call it an organiser rather than a display stand.

I've actually got a tower tip in my stand at the moment (berserker tip) and it doesn't look out of place to 'me' another preference thing to take note of thanks.

Sorry I haven't replied to every single point but I have definitely taken your opinions and advice in and already have a clearer understanding.

Appreciate your honest opinions and advice thank you :)
