Bile Acid Malabsorption caused by vaping

hello

I have been vaping for over a year now and all was well in the beginning. After a few months I started to get a weird weakness in my lower abdomen and glutes. Eventually I started getting diarrhea and stomach discomfort. My diarrhea has gotten to the point where I just poop a yellow water. Pretty gross and pretty stinky. Very hard to hold it in when I have the urge. In my search for answers I stumbled on the fact that Polyethelyne Glycol is the major ingredient in the drink you consume before a colonoscopy. Well it would explain my inability now to absorb fats. I am going to stop vaping and see if I get better or try just VG. I am wondering if anyone else has had severe diarrhea from vaping. If you did did you quit and do it get better? Or did you switch to 100% VG and get better.

How much PG was in your vape? I actually have experienced this problem (very mildly!), but only when I got my PG percentage up to something like 90% -- MUCH higher than any commercial ejuice.

And you're actually incorrect; the laxative substance you're referring to is POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL, often known as PEG-40 ("miralax"). It's an entirely different chemical from propylene glycol.

If you were not vaping greater than 90% PG, I call TROLL. And confused troll, since PG and PEG-40 are quite different.

Yeah, let's see..

Ankylosis Spondylitis
herniated discs
many operations for knees and hip
all of a sudden lost a lot of weight
tremor in my sacrum area
feel weak in my abdomen
palpitations
cold feet and hands
numbness in feet
hot flashes

I suppose vaping caused all that?

Diagnosis: troll with a side of hypochondriac.

Why don't all you smoke/vape nazis get REAL jobs? McD's is always hiring. Wendy's too, I bet.

And hey, that first one on the hypochondriac list... it's actually "AnkylosING spondylitis"... not "ankylosis". so he's a hypochondriac who can't even consult a dictionary properly. (a/k/a "idiot" -- but I bet he was that, LONG before he vaped... if he ever has actually vaped!)

That's odd - a year ago you blamed vaping for a host of other weird maladies #19

Now I have Ankylosis Spondylitis and herniated discs and many operations for knees and hip. I all of a sudden lost a lot of weight which I felt was due to taking Methotrexate but have been off that for long enough now that that is not it. I get the feeling of a tremor in my sacrum area

Gee, let me see. You're getting old like the rest of say 7.6 billion other folks on Earth? What is described here is the general maladies of living and growing old. If you're fortunate enough to continue living, ... it happens.

Here goes with my 2 cents. ...Go see a GI Specialist. One that will run a few tests to rule everything out.

I run two pages on the huge social media site for Gallbladder Cancer and Bile Duct Cancer. My Mom had this and we'll say she thought her pain was just arthritis. She was a nurse. Also prevalent was yellow stools. Now this is a rare cancer but worth getting a full exam and ruling this out. May not be the PG at all.

There's studies here and there on vaping but you need to rule everything out, like I said before. Could be a PG issue but looks as it's more to your body talking vs vaping with PG blended in the juice. A simple gb attack to your diet. I prefer myself to keep my gb intact since I'm a huge risk for what my mom had. Many here may not know about the bile track like I've studied this since 2008. That's why I stress a GI and a good one for this issue. Yellow stools can turn into gray ones. Neither one is good...

There's my 2 cents worth and I hope you can rule out everything. Again, don't really think it's a PG issue vs a true health issue. I'm no doctor, nor giving medical advice. Want you to get checked out though. ...

Please post after you find the cause. ...

It's just a troll, no need to waste your concern.

Thank you @AndriaD
Didn't know and was concerned. That's sad to place a post like that. Serious health issues are not to mess around with. The issue my Mom had took her life on the 6 month mark, to the day.
Thank you again. ...

Go look at the post that @JuicyLucy linked to -- this guy's only health problem is that he's full of shit. Obviously being paid to post nonsense about vaping, in an attempt to discredit it.

Oh wow! Yep hypochondria is the issue here. Maybe paid, true enough - or just in need of a full medical exam in the mental ward as well.
Had no clue. Maybe if they keep trying to scream wolf the wolf will eventually come to see them. I know that asking for a health related issue and you'll eventually get one in the case of hypochondria patients. Needs a mental evaluation if not being just paid for these posts.
Sad world we live in and joking about bile issues is not something anyone wants. Especially when it comes to the cancer. It's very worse than pancreatic and well, deadly. No possible cure on the books, yet.

Trolls are trolls and you're right about being full of it. Smdh!!!:headbang::poop::zombie::bs:
