How safe is nichrome? I know you arent suppose to pulse nickel or get it too hot, is nichrome the same way?

Nichrome is composed of 70-75% nickel 20-25% chromium and small amounts of other elements.

Health wise id'e rather have iron and aluminum instead of nickel (kanthan).

One important thing I didnt address why does the wire have a different taste? That would mean im tasting the "vapor" that the coil gives off?

I'm okay with it. Nichrome is an alloy rather than an amalgam. It's very unlike pure nickel Nichrome is very heat resistant.
