hi everyone...
cant find the correct calculator to answer my stupid question
aw imr 18650 3.7v 2000mAh battery
installed in a cloupor 30 watt box mod
set at 19.5 watts/ fires at 4.9v
firing a magma rda with dual coils... total resistance is 1.2 ohms
i believe, definately bitch slap me if my assumptions are misguided, the battery has a 10 amp continuous discharge rate
the bottom line question for the experts is this...
is it safe to utilize this battery as above

my math says 19.5w(P) / 4.9v(E) = 3.9796(I)
but 4.9v(E) / 1.2ohms(R) = 4.0833(I)

needless to say, i must have been absent in math class that day...

bottom line, will using the above combination stress the battery, the power regulator board...
will it vent, catch fire, blow my friggin hand off

or is it safe until i get batteries with a higher continuous disharge rate

thanks in advance

If you're firing 4.9v through a 1.2 ohm coil, you're generating 20 watts and 4.0833 amps.

To generate 19.5 watts with the same resistance, you need 4.837v. In this case, you'd also be generating 4.031 amps.

Either way, assuming the specs on your battery are accurate, you should be safe.

And those batteries are good for 10amp continuous unknown pulse that I have found

Also forgot to mention that the calibration on your device appears to be slightly off. Don't worry, my Hana clone is the same way, as is the case with a lot of - if not most - folks who bought this. Also, the amount to which the readings are off is not to the extent that should cause problems for folks like you and me since we aren't sub ohmers. But if you really want to play it safe and add a toy to your collection to boot, go to Fast Tech and check out the various ohm/battery meters they carry.

yes i have a smok resistance tester...
damn chinese stuff...so you are saying its sending the wrong voltage for the desired wattage (firing high so to speak)
guess i will just bite the bullet for chrismas and get an opus or a vapor shark
the new provari would be a kick in the pants also
