It is a good thing to learn. The sooner you start, the better. Being retired I found I had time and bought a decent acoustic before major hand surgery thinking it would help rehab. That didn't work out and I'll sell it soon. Point being: go for it!

Been playing since for about 50 years !!! My arthritis keeps me from playing as much as I would like to but still enjoy it when I can. My last purchase was a rare Harmony guitar from the 70's. It plays and sounds amazing after having a little fret work and a good setup.

So this happened yesterday - My "Unicorn acoustic guitar" arrived. A Martin D28. The first 2 songs I played were "Simple Man" and "Green Grass & High Tides". Kicks the shit outta my Yamaha F325.
