"As for Kasich’s proposed taxes on e-cigarettes, McClain said he would be surprised if lawmakers moved for any increases there.
“We had a lot of testimony that this is a way to get off of cigarettes,” he said.
“Even though it’s still addictive, at least it’s not the tobacco and some of the stuff that causes health issues as much.”
Kasich’s plan would have increased the taxes on a 30-milliliter bottle of liquid nicotine used in e-cigarettes to $33.74 — the bottle now costs $18 to $20 plus sales tax."
