The idiots can't comprehend the fact that menthol smokers will either buy black market, switch or simply dip their cigs in a menthol solution. Ecig users will simply mix their own flavors. It's not going to curb use one iota. Heck, when cigs went up to nearly $2 a pack, the black market cig industry was booming in my area. I'm sure it's only grown since then.
When I lived in Maryland, they doubled the taxes on cigs one year and then increased the tax by 25% two years later. Dudes from the deep South were rolling into the state with trunk loads of cigarettes and selling them out in a couple hours. These dingleberry politicians need to remember that prohibition didn't work the last time it was implemented.
