The Panasonic CGR26650A. I did some poking around and they seem to have the same exact specs as the SONY 50AMP batteries that have been discontinued. These run at 2500mAh and have a 50AMP max amp limit. These could be the new baby of the 26650 mod world - Panasonic has always made great cells.

Are these better than the Vtc 4/5? I mean I know the ampage is higher but is it a good batt?

Well they are 26650 and not 18650's which is what the VTC 4/5 are. So if you are running a 26650 mod these seem to be the best amp rating out. If you are running 18650 these won't even fit. So not sure what mid you are running.

They seem to be the same as the sony 26650 if you can find them. But 50 amp is highest rating on batteries that I can think of

Are they Safe Chemistry batteries? My understanding is IMR[safe chemistry] batteries will vent as opposed to start on fire/explode.

I bought 4 of these and just got them today. They shipped here very fast, but the protective shrink wrap on them are seriously messed up. I would not trust to put these in anything with the shape I got them in and possibly cause a short, I was VERY disappointed. These are 1 pic each of the 4 different ones I got:
