I have mixed this recipe up 3 times now. As a shake and vape it is spectacular. After a couple days the chocolate becomes muted and I can only taste what I assume is the ap. Not good at all imo. Anyone have this happen? I tried increasing the amounts by 50% and same thing. Should I just use less ap? Currently I use it at 1.5%. If I could keep the flavor like it is the 1st day I'd be in heaven.

I make this recipe at .25% ap - that is just what works for me. Have been using this even up to 6 weeks and still good (but maybe am a bit more sensitive to the ap?) try using like .5% - you can always add more if you need to.

Thanks I will give that a try. I'm new to diy so maybe I did something wrong. I notice the fa cocoa flavoring tends to separate if I let it sit so maybe I didn't shake it up enough before mixing. Made a batch of thin mint that I've been vaping lately which is probably the best juice I've ever had. I'll give this one another shot thanks for the help.

I've mixed this recipe 4-5 times and have had consistently great results, using the percentages as is, with 1.75% AP. The chocolate and cocoa flavors are now just over a year old and still getting good results with the juice flavor lasting well into 30+days. So yeh, it might be you haven't shaken the flavorings enough before mixing, they do have a tendency to separate.

maybe this is not a question that people use to ask but what is the percentages of pg and vg used in these recipes as i find it different with higher vg

I recommend plenty of VG for maximum sweetness any time Cocoa/Chocolate are part of the recipe.

@HeadInClouds This sounds absolutely delicious!! I've ordered both flavors from FA, and already have a 10ml bottle of AP. My question is this...
I LOVE chocolate mint vapes. Only problem is I've been using Cap flavors, and they just don't seem to taste right at any percentage. I do however have FA peppermint. So would you suggest adding about 2% peppermint to this?
This just may be my new adv!!
Thanks in advance, and awesome work!

The more mint you add, the less acetyl pyrazine you'll need, because mint flavors are so sweet. 2% FA Peppermint will be very minty and probably need 0.5% or less of ap. If you like chocolate-mint, try this one, too: http://vapingunderground.com/threads/hics-girl-scout-thin-mint-cookies.1813/ .

I made this up as my own concentrate to add chocolate flavour to my own recipes, and its a very good chocolate indeed, very strong too so anybody trying the same thing I would use it sparingly as it can over power other flavours.....because its so nice :) Also I have been lucky that using it with my exthermal I have had no problems at all with vaping it @ .3 at about 50watts, but have noticed in other rda's it can go very fuzzy rather than burnt for me and the cotton needs changing almost daily so if trying it sub ohm make sure its an RDA with a big chamber and well if possible so it has plenty of air to breath.

So I used this with a little less ap for a mallo cup I tried to make. The chocolate was great. The end result was chocolate covered marshmallow. Interestingly enough, I put 1.5% fa coconut and all that did was add a good buttery affect. It was all good but no mallo cup.

Thanks for the recipe, Hic.

My 2 cents. I've been reading HIC recipes while drooling. Had to make this one up. As I love AP, I found 2% to be my goldilocks zone. Less (for me) seems to leave a slight chalky taste, which I attribute to the Cocoa (a great flavor, but needs to be managed properly). I added .25% Capella Coconut (my fave coconut), which took this over the top. FlavourArt should pay HIC some commission on sales, as I've been shopping for it due to his 1) comprehensive reviews (thank you much!) and 2) spectacular recipes.

The Swiss Bliss Coco and the simple Dry4 + AP really compliment each other nicely. It's great when you drag off 1 mix, then the other, and they each enhance the overall experience. Thx for the recipe. Vape (and mix) on.

If you like tobacco + cocoa, you would probably like FA Eclipse. I describe it in my notes, but it's similar to Tuscan Reserve + Cocoa, but smoother, easy on coils, and has a light sweet-minty accent. I suggest 5% standalone; it's less strong than most FA tobaccos.

Appreciate the tip, but mint and menthol aren't really in my repertoire. I don't know if I've been a predominantly tobacco vapor due to quitting analogs, or just no luck with fruit and dessert vapes. But your efforts have fortified mine, so that's what I'll be exploring. As well as ordering copious amounts of FA.

sorry, i mean it is okay if i change this to inawera milk chocolate? looks like i order wrong flavor :(
No, I wouldn't. IA milk chocolate is a completely different flavor than FA. Try it if you like, but I can promise the results will not be the same. This is an amazing recipe, I'd hate for you to get any less than perfection without the FA chocolate. ;)

Just mixed up a batch and like it S&V but I may want to drop the AP 0.25-0.5% as I'm getting a lot on the after taste. But I'll give it a day. All in all though, good job.
Also just mixed HIC's Cocoa Cookies, another good one.
I do like Chocolate's a bit sweeter so I may add a bit to both recipes. Like it needs more coil gunking ingredients -- glad I mostly drip.

I can't go above 0.75% with the AP or it tastes like corn chips:(.
Been mixing for two years and am just now to the point where that stuff doesn't have to stay sealed in a ziplock bag in another drawer...lol!

I love what AP does for a mix it's my favorite enhancer, but (at least for me) it can easily take over. On the other hand.......I do love corn chips.

Probably why I'm so crazy over INW Biscuit & FA Cookie.
Think they both have some of that "stuff" built in:D.
