Drops

Made an order from ecigexpress. Does anyone know how many drops per ml they have in their bottles with their dropper caps. All the flavoring is from FA so there should be some consistency with the viscosity of the flavoring.

all droppers are different, and pg/vg/flavors will all be different size drops in the same dropper, and temperature will also affect drop size. I have tested different droppers with different viscosity liquids and measuring by drops is very unreliable....
I always use syringes unless its 1-5 drop in a batch.

I never measure using drops. I use mL or g to measure flavors. In particular with flavors I use mL since I always use syringes with those. Quite frankly, trying to measure by drops is unreliable. The dropper in dropper bottles come in all different sizes not to mention that the viscosity of pg, vg, and even flavorings can be radically different depending on temperature. If the goal is to create a consistent flavor using drops is unreliable unless we're talking about something that calls for such small amounts of a substance like 1-10 drops per 30mL.

Learned the hard way, drops per ml varies wildly...found out today after receiving some pipettes from bcv. I've been vaping ~3mg/ml nic when I thought I was mixing 6+ for about a month now...always thought my juice was super thick... now I know why. I'm looking forward to redoing my failed recipes with accurate ingredients. Hitting up amazon asap for a decent precision scale, maybe a cuppla small graduated cylinders fer shits and giggles also.

How do you weigh drops? How much does a drop weigh anyway?

I mix in drops... usually 20 per ml.

I use Syringes, Graduated Cylinders, and Graduated Beakers. Before I needed to tweak a new creation by using 3 drops. When using the syringes I tested my flavors when adding an ML and counted the drops. 20drops is one ML.

I would say that if one has a scale appropriate for mixing (measuring 0.01g increments) one could measure the weight of a drop. One would have to put a receptacle on the scale tare the weight then place one drop of the liquid in question into the receptacle. The weight displayed on the scale would be the weight of the drop..

And with most scales you need another small weight (10g) so the scale actually shows you the weight of the first drop:p While it registers the weight, they don't show one drop - you have to have at least two, which is tricky for tiny amounts!
