That sounds like one (or more) of your lead connections is a little loose. Try re-tightening them.

In a dual coil setup, when your resistance doubles for seemingly no reason, it's usually because one of the coils isn't making a complete circuit somewhere.

Not as clean as yours and I'm sure shits gonna get ugly when I bust out this 34 ga
How'd it come out? If you took it slow where the slight bend occurred, it should come out just fine.

I will say one more off thing about this Aromamizer clone so far. Every time I unscrew the atty from anything and then screw it back on... it changes the resistance. I was running .22ohm last night and this morning. I just took the atty off to refill it and when I put it on it came in at .32 ohm. I unscrewed it and then back on and it came in at .55. I then removed and screwed back on and it dropped down .35 ohm. Not sure why it is jumping all over the place like that.

I checked the deck and it screwed in tight to the base... nothing looks like it has shifted with the coils and everything is tight. Just not sure what is going on with the constant changing ohms.

Also, those with Aromamizers, how do you get around all the juice that just sits under the deck? How do you get that to wick up into the coil?
Grab a pair of needle nose pliers and grab the negative post on the deck and then a flathead screwdriver and tighten the 510 pin as tight as you can, then thread that deck down as tight as you can, that fixes that problem
Drill out your juice holes on the deck for better wicking of the juice sitting in the bottom chamber

Thank you @raymo2u for the coils, these were built beautifully. I hope you do yourself a favor with this talent and make them available to purchase. I have not got around to trying them both but as for the staged coil I love it. I don't know if maybe I am doing something wrong or if it's the nature of the coil, but should I be able to vape .07 @ 200w and it still is a cool vape? When I get a chance I will put some pics up, and than try the framed coils out. The staged fit perfectly in my Messes. In the meantime maybe some feedback about it, I feel like a super sub ohm coil at that high of wattage should have been nice and warm. Don't know what I did wrong:( I even turned it down to 150w to see if the Pulse on the Snow wolf was cooling it down.

Depending on the coils, and the placement (far or close to air holes), I have vaped most of my builds in the 150w-200w range. Those staged coils can handle some decent wattage. I would try tightening the connections just to be sure that they are both secure, they should be around .11 Ohms.... The Framed Fused Claptons may be slightly lower (.09) but 140w should be a nice warm vape. Check your 510 pin for tightness and make sure the connections are clean also.

Yeah I probably changed the reading to .09. When I installed I had them real close to the posts, and clipped maybe a mm off of one of the legs.

The next set try and get them so the leads end just where the back of the post is, thats where I had them cut so they would be as close to the airflow as possible without touching the cap. This will allow you to get that warm experience and also cool the coils as you draw....this pull in the juice to the wick better and can make it so you can almost vape the wicks dry.
Put them in like this at first, then try to pull the leads in the center out just a tiny bit so they are out towards the airflow
Framed Fused Clapton .jpg

You could also try the set in right now as a single coil to pump more wattage to it without the pulse issue...

I found a few things I'm working in with this thing. One was the 40k wrap from one leg came unraveled and was touching the other coil. Cleaned that up but no change. I when to test tightness of the screws and one just fell out. It has no real threading on it. Ugh... no spares with me right now and fastenal across the street only stocks down to m3...

So, I tried to do an interlock alien today. Came out like crap (for what it was supposed to be). 4x0.5K ribbon core framed with 26K, Claptoned with 2x36N. The double alien coil was fine, but the frame didn't stay where it was supposed to. I think I had the alien coil too tight, as in not unwound enough. Probably would have come out a lot better if I had just stuck with regular round wire for the cores.

Could wrap the coil leg around the post like I have to with my Crius, just put the screw in as tight as it allows. Find some Aluminum foil to wrap around the screw (one thin layer) and then try fitting it in, is will make it thicker and hopefully will grab the screws...do not use for long term. The screw is why your resistance is jumping if all your screws/pins/threads are tightened and clean.

Nothing at work I can use. So I pulled one coil. Running it single coil for the ride home. For some reason, my coils started coming in at .08 all of the sudden. I pulled the one coil and now I'm sitting at .15ohm. Not sure why they were reading .22 this morning and now running so much lower...

Question: if you were to decore, say, a 26/33 and stretch it on a longer piece of 28 would that work for a sfc?

It would be too loose, but that's actually how they make the dragon scale coils. Idk if you've seen those or not. But you do what you just said, times 3, then twisty them together and fold the loops that are sticking out down onto the 28g. Creates a scale look

Going to rebuild the Aromamizer tonight. That coil I built was too low in resistance for what could fit on the deck. Going to build a quick 26n80 core wrapped in 40 fused clapton. I am going to rebuild the 30 strand of 40k framed in 24 and wrapped in 40k for either the double vision or the indestructible when they arrive. The flavor that build gave was crazy!

Thats still pretty cool lookin... Gonna play around with the notion when I get home. Still trying to find another shortcut for sfc's besided the loop and freehand

Ya, it looks awesome. They say it's a good flavor producer as well. I'm gonna give it a go next time I have a minute to build

Can someone please verify a build I did on steam engine.

26 n80 cores wrapped in 40k

2.5 mm id coming to .25 ohm

Dual coil of course.

I need to see if I am using stream engine correctly. Never used it.

Trying to do a dual coil fused clapton build that will fit in the Aromamizer. It looks like I can only fit 5 wraps high on my vertical coils in there. Steam engine says I need 6 to .25 so I might just try it and see how it goes. I don't care really as long as I'm over .1 of course. I just want to see if I'm using steam engine correctly. Is the number of coils it is saying what I need on each side or is that split between both coils?

so i tried it out... Stretched out decored 26/33 clapton on 28 sfc. As i believed, as you stretch the clapton it narrows. Getting the spacing right was a bit iffy but its not entirely awful

My second attempt went alot smoother. Stretched it less and twisted it tight on the 28ga. and lots of tension while wrapping. Got nothing to put them in right now but i figure theyll be somewhere in the .25 range

Ok, so far I have my build going for the Aromamizer. Dual 26 ni80 core wrapped in 40k D. Was able to fit almost 5 full wraps. On the deck it ohms out at .17.

Also, anyone that doesn't have the coil master 521 tab or something like it. .. get one! Makes building so much easier, at least for me, and great being able to check resistance and charge without moving to another device.

I dropped it in an ultrasonic cleaner right before i dry fired it, and i pulsed it at 30W very slowly until the colors came out. The low wattage pulsing really brings it out.
I'll try that then, its much cleaner. after I clean them I pulse them low until they're even then give them one good pulse on my mech, the colors are bright but not really uniform

The unevenness comes from the hot spots, if you work them out at a really low wattage before it starts to change they'll be more even :D theoretically, at least haha

So after that new build ohmed out at .17, it went to .14 after putting in the cotton and reinstalling it. Then I took it off of the 521 and on my lavabox and it ohmed in at .12. I took it off and put it back on the 521 and then it ohmed at .1. I fiddled with it and couldn't get it to do anything but .1. I put it back on the lavabox and it is bouncing between .1 and .12. WTF
